El siguiente artículo fue escrito en el 2003 y fue parte de una discusión en Chile sobre las elecciones entonces venideras y sobre la manera en que muchos camaradas pretendían dedicar el grueso de los recursos (tanto humanos como económicos) al anti-electoralismo. De igual manera, entonces se libraba un debate por la participación en elecciones estudiantiles, sindicales y poblacionales, en el cual muchos anarquistas adoptaban la postura que el anarquismo se oponía a toda clase de elecciones. Algunos elementos de este debate son recurrentes, y reflejan cuestiones políticas más profundas.
