... read full story / add a comment

... read full story / add a comment ![]()

For a number of years now, the Bikehouse has been an established activist house in downtown salt lake. It's been home to punk rock kids, artists, vegans and alike. it's been a temporary home for hundreds of bands passing through town, or activists who need a place to crash while touring. It has been featured in a documentary by National Geographic, the book PUNKHOUSE, a number of independent documentaries and articles in papers all over the country. It has been a staple in the punk rock and activist community for nearly a decade. It is one of the longest running squats in the United States, and represents a symbol in the social housing movement, and sticking it to the man!! There is speculation that the recent bombing of a bank in Canada might have been a false flag operation carried out by agent provocateurs to blame anarchists and give police a reason to further ramp up security. In many ways, the whole security operations for the G8/G20 summits are a sideshow designed to serve as a distraction. Any violence and mayhem before or during the meetings plays right into the globalists hands and will be used to justify a police state crackdown. ... read full story / add a comment ![]()

The giant security apparatus being assembled for the Games has translated into many police state measures which are being used to suppress free speech. There is no doubt that the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games must provide a safe and secure environment for athletes, spectators, officials, local residents and all others involved. This should not be at the expense of those who seek to engage in anti-Olympic protests or other forms of peaceful activism and they should be free to do so without intimidation and fear. ... read full story / add a comment ![]()

The eviction blockade was a big success, thanks to everyone who turned out. But the struggle is far from over for Lenise and the rest of the families facing eviction this holiday season. Though CHA had indicated on Tuesday that they would ask management to work out a payment plan, now they are denying this and we may have to set the blockade back up at a moment’s notice. ... read full story / add a comment ![]()
