Ciò che leggerete di seguito è l'esperienza della mia visita di un paio di settimane nel maggio di quest'anno, 2014, nel Nord Est della Siria o Kurdistan siriano (Ovest del Kurdistan) con un mio caro amico. Durante la visita abbiamo avuto piena libertà e l'opportunità di vedere e di parlare con chiunque. Incluse donne, uomini, giovani e partiti politici. Ci sono più di 20 partiti dai curdi ai cristiani, alcuni sono nell'Auto Amministrazione Democratica (DSA) o Autogestione Democratica (DSM) della regione di Al-Jazera. Al-Jazera è una delle tre regioni (cantoni) del Kurdistan dell'Ovest. Abbiamo incontrato anche i partiti politici curdi e cristiani che non fanno parte della DSA o della DSM. Inoltre abbiamo incontrato i vertici della DSM, membri di diversi comitati, gruppi locali e comuni così come uomini d'affari, negozianti, lavoratori, persone al mercato e gente che semplicemente camminava per strada. The US special forces finally sent to Mount Sinjar in Northern Iraq to assess a mission to rescue the threatened Yezidis this morning [Thursday 14 August], reported that most of the displaced population had already been rescued in the previous days. What is not being widely reported is the identity of the Kurdish forces who secured the northern side of the mountain and opened a safe passage for the threatened Yezidi civilians, through the Syrian territory they control to Dohuk in the north of the Kurdish Autonomous region in Iraq. Embarrassingly for the US, arriving on its white charger to save the day, only to discover they are far too late, the saviours of the Yezidis are the Turkish Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and their Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) allies. Benyamin Netanyahu ha dichiarato che l'esercito è giunto alla fase finale di questa operazione. Ufficialmente, fase "finale" significa chiudere i tunnel attraverso cui ai progionieri del ghetto di Gaza possono giungere cibo, medicine e tutte quelle cose che si sono rese inaccessibili a causa dell'assedio medioevale imposto loro da Israele, con l'appoggio europeo, nordamericano ed egiziano. Significa tagliare le vene che ancora fanno vivere Gaza, rendere irreversibile tale grave situazione ed accelerare la morte lenta di questa comunità di circa 2 milioni di esseri umani per fame, malattie e mancanza di acqua. Oficialmente, el “final” significa acabar con los túneles mediante los cuales los prisioneros del ghetto de Gaza pueden obtener alimentos, medicinas y todas esas cosas que les están vedadas por el bloqueo medieval que sufren por parte de Israel, con el respaldo europeo, norteamericano y egipcio. Significa cortar las venas con las cuales Gaza aún puede palpitar, estable en su gravedad, y acelerar la muerte lenta de esta comunidad de cerca de dos millones de seres humanos por hambre, por enfermedad, por sed.
