Le 19 juillet 1936, le peuple a remporté une victoire historique face à un soulèvement militaire qui s’est élevé contre le gouvernement et la République espagnole. Ce complot militaire et civil était soutenu par tous les secteurs réactionnaires de la société (Église, carlistes, falangistes, conservateurs, propriétaires terriens ou industriels) et financé par les banquiers de droite ou encore l’Italie de Mussolini. Face à ce complot bien organisée visant à renverser un gouvernement, il n’y avait qu’une poignée de soldats loyaux et de forces de l’ordre douteuses. Cependant, le peuple a parfaitement compris son rôle historique et sa résistance a surpassé toutes les prévisions. Specifično anarhistička organizacija koristi se, kako za svoje unutarnje tako i za vanjsko funkcioniranje, logikom onoga što nazivamo "koncentričnim krugovima" - snažno nadahnutim organizacijskim modelom Bakunjina (misli se na odnos Alijanse za socijalnu demokraciju i Prve Internacionale op. prev.). Glavni razlog zbog kojeg usvajamo ovu logiku funkcioniranja je zato, što za nas, anarhistička organizacija treba sačuvati različite razine djelovanja. Te bi različite razine trebale ojačati rad organizacije, istovremeno joj dopuštajući da okuplja obučene militante s visokom razinom predanosti i približavajući ljude koji su simpatizeri stavova ili djelovanja organizacije - koji bi mogli biti više ili manje obučeni i više ili manje predani. Στο αποκορύφωμα της πανδημίας οι καπιταλιστικές κυβερνήσεις παγκοσμίως μας είπαν πως «απέναντι σε αυτήν την κατάσταση είμαστε όλοι μαζί». Φυσικά, αυτό ήταν πάντα ένα ψέμα, αλλά έπρεπε να το πουν και ανταποκρίθηκε στις βαθύτερες επιθυμίες της εργατικής τάξης. We are living in a world that for most people is broken and that has broken most people. It is not a god given world, but one that has been constructed by those in power and that has left most people mired in deprivation. Under COVID-19, this world has sunk to new lows.
All is not lost though. There has historically been a section within the progressive movement – in different parts of the world and in South Africa – based around forms of radically democratic socialism that has not only tapped into the righteous anger of the working class, but has also sought to create a home and sense of belonging for people based on progressive values and principles such as mutual aid, solidarity and even love. If we want a better world, we need to revive the popularity of the types of politics, ethics, values, principles and practices that formed the essence – at their best – of such movements and update it for the context of the 21st century. ... read full story / add a comment

Συνοψίζοντας, στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1930, το διατλαντικό Αναρχικό κίνημα δεν αναζωογονήθηκε εξαιτίας των εσωτερικών διαμαχών, της έλλειψης χρημάτων και ,κατά συνέπεια, της αδυναμίας του να ξεφύγει από τη δική του απομόνωση. Στη μνήμη του δημοσιεύω την εισαγωγή από το βιβλίο του Harold Barclay: «Aνθρωπολογία & Αναρχισμός» - Εκδόσεις Σοφίτα. Ο Αναρχικός ανθρωπολόγος Harold Barclay από τον Καναδά μας είχε εμπνεύσει και τους δυο και παρόλο που ο David ήταν μαθητής του Marshall Salins, γνώριζε το έργο του και όπως μου είχε εκμυστηρευθεί, το βιβλίο του Barclay Άνθρωποι χωρίς Δια-κυβέρνηση (People without Government) ήταν αυτό που τον είχε εμπνεύσει να γράψει το δικό του βιβλίο Αποσπάσματα για μια Αναρχική Ανθρωπολογία που έχει μεταφραστεί στα Ελληνικά από τις εκδόσεις Στάσει Εκπίπτοντες.
