Podemos decir que el sistema capitalista a escala planetaria ha entrado en una nueva etapa. Estamos en sus inicios, pero una nueva etapa al fin. Nueva etapa que se inicia claramente con la pandemia del COVID y las diferentes medidas impuestas por los Estados para controlar a las poblaciones más que a la enfermedad: los confinamientos masivos y la militarización de la vida social, las medidas represivas para imponer el confinamiento. Los Estados experimentaron con diversas medidas para controlar o conducir a sus poblaciones a su antojo, mientras se imponían medidas draconianas em términos económicos y sociales. Se hablaban de grandes “ayudas” e inversiones estatales, pero estas iban volcadas principalmente a las empresas multinacionales. Fue una reactivación del capital lo que impulsaron los diferentes gobiernos, pero jamás pusieron atención y contención social suficientes debido a las consecuencias de la pandemia y el gran freno económico que ella supuso. read full story / add a comment

The present text —the core of which was taken from the introduction that we wrote for the French edition of Social Anarchism and Organization, by the Anarchist Federation of Rio de Janeiro (FARJ)[1]— aims to discuss the question of the specific anarchist political organization, based on the contributions of Mikhail Bakunin, Errico Malatesta and the Organizational Platform for a General Union of Anarchists, written by militants organized around the magazine Dielo Trudá, among whom were Nestor Makhno and Piotr Archinov.
We are going to take up the contributions of Bakunin and Malatesta to establish a dialogue between them and the Platform, trace the similarities and differences between the proposals of anarchists who advocate an organizational dualism and those of the Bolsheviks, and we will see the proximity of Malatesta with the Synthesis, as well as the historical impact of the Platform, which will make it possible to elucidate the positions that have been disseminated about this debate.

1 de mayo de 1886! Hoy hace 136 años que la clase obrera estadounidense creó una experiencia invaluable para las próximas luchas de las clases trabajadoras de todo el mundo al decir "¡esta lucha es nuestra última lucha!". Ella sigue siendo una victoria hoy por hoy. La exigencia de "8 horas para trabajar, 8 horas para dormir, 8 horas para lo que queramos" para reemplazar las 16 horas de trabajo y los ataques del capitalismo contra las vidas de las clases trabajadoras en el siglo XIX se convirtió en una huelga general en Estados Unidos. La huelga general ha sido una de las armas más significativas de la acción anarquista como una ganancia para la historia de la lucha de clases.
La lucha por las 8 horas nunca ha sido vista como una simple petición de reforma por parte de los anarquistas. Los y las anarquistas lucharon para reemplazarla por una revolución social con la afirmación: "independientemente de nuestra jornada de trabajo, sea de 2 horas o de 8 horas, este tiempo es esclavitud si trabajamos para los patrones".

Primo maggio 1886! 136 anni fa, oggi, la classe operaia americana creò un'esperienza inestimabile per le successive lotte delle classi lavoratrici di tutto il mondo dicendo "questa lotta è la nostra ultima lotta!". Rimane una vittoria fino ai nostri giorni. La richiesta di "8 ore di lavoro, 8 ore di riposo, 8 ore per quello che vogliamo" per sostituire le 16 ore di lavoro e gli assalti del capitalismo che prendevano di mira la vita delle classi lavoratrici allora nel XIX secolo si trasformò in uno sciopero generale in America. Lo sciopero generale è stato una delle armi più significative dell'azione anarchica come conquista alla storia della lotta di classe.
Per gli anarchici, la lotta per le 8 ore non è mai stata vista come una semplice richiesta di riforma. Gli anarchici hanno lottato per sostituirla con una rivoluzione sociale, con l'affermazione che "Indipendentemente dal nostro orario di lavoro, che sia di 2 ore o di 8 ore, è schiavitù se lavoriamo per i padroni". read full story / add a comment

Παραμένει μια νίκη μέχρι σήμερα. Το αίτημα "8 ώρες δουλειά, 8 ώρες ξεκούραση, 8 ώρες για ό,τι θέλουμε" για να αντικαταστήσει τις 16 ώρες εργασίας και τις επιθέσεις του καπιταλισμού που στόχευαν τις ζωές των εργατικών τάξεων τότε, τον 19ο αιώνα, έγινε γενική απεργία στην Αμερική. The present text aims to discuss, from a theoretical-historical perspective, some organizational issues related to anarchism. It responds to the assertion, constantly repeated, that anarchist ideology or doctrine is essentially spontaneous and contrary to organization. Returning to the debate among anarchists about organization, this article maintains that there are three fundamental positions on the matter: those who are against organization and / or defend informal formations in small groups (anti-organizationism); supporters of organization only at the mass level (syndicalism and communitarianism), and those who point out the need for organization on two levels, the political-ideological and the mass (organizational dualism).
This text delves into the positions of the third current, bringing theoretical elements from Mikhail Bakunin and then presenting a historical case in which the anarchists held, in theory and in practice, that position: the activity of the Federation of Anarchist Communists of Bulgaria (FAKB) between the twenties and forties of the twentieth century.

1st of May, 1886! 136 years ago today, the American working class created a priceless experience for the upcoming struggles of the working classes of the whole world by saying “this fight is our last fight!”. It remains a victory till our time. The demand of “8 hours for work, 8 hours for sleep, 8 hours for whatever we want” to replace the 16 hours of work and the assaults of capitalism which targeted the lives of the working classes then in the 19th century turned into a general strike in America. General strike has been one of the most significant weapons of the anarchist action as an earning to the history of the class struggle.
For anarchists, the struggle for 8 hours has never been seen as a simple request for reform. Anarchists fought to replace it with a social revolution, with the claim that “Regardless of our working time, whether it be 2 hours or 8 hours, it is slavery if we work for bosses”.

The crisis of capitalism won’t resolve itself. No government can save us. Only the working class can end it for the better. We need to make a revolution. We need to overthrow capitalism and build libertarian communism, worldwide. For this, the labour movement needs to be built anew. We need to organise in the workplace and rebuild our unions from the ground up. We need direct democratic control, with delegates held to mandates, and a consistent federalist structure. The practices by which we build our movement will be the ones that form the basis of the new society. And we need to do it now, because time is short. read full story / add a comment

En los últimos meses la situación política latinoamericana pareciera lograr cierta estabilidad, especialmente con la salida institucional a la revuelta en Chile luego de las elecciones. Sin embargo, en realidad, se abre otro capítulo en esta coyuntura, donde aún muchas cosas están en disputa y lejos se está de una “estabilización” política y económica en el continente. La situación de la invasión militar rusa de Ucrania y todas las derivaciones y desarrollo que pueda tener van a impactar en nuestra región de un modo u otro. Ya en lo inmediato, los precios de las materias primas se han disparado en el mercado mundial, lo cual puede generar mayores ingresos en nuestras economías nacionales, pero no necesariamente mejorar su distribución, sino que se enriquezcan más las burguesías latinoamericanas, aumentando al final aún más nuestra dependencia económica. read full story / add a comment
