Los sucesos que se están viviendo a un ritmo vertiginoso en Catalunya, cuyas repercusiones se hacen sentir no sólo en el Estado español, sino que en toda la Unión Europea, tienen al mundo boquiabierto. La creciente “erdoganización” del gobierno español, con Mariana Rajoy cerrando cualquier puerta a una solución civilizada, suprimiendo y desconociendo los derechos más básicos de la democracia y con una represión que ha ido escalando (hasta el punto de hablar de militarizar Catalunya), ha dejado a todo el mundo atónito. La aparición del rey, cuestionando las credenciales democráticas de los independentistas, ha sido una auténtica sinvergüenzura: la ironía de un monarca que no ha sido elegido por nadie, y cuyo puesto existe gracias a que a su familia la reinstaló un dictador fascista después de un golpe de Estado y una sangrienta campaña militar de exterminio, se le escapó sólo a los más despistados. La aparición de “su majestad” nos recuerda que las monarquías europeas no son instituciones decorativas: su existencia se debe a toda una sociedad excluyente, elitista, de castas, que las sustenta. Este momento es una bisagra histórica, de la que se pueden abrir muchos escenarios posibles, dependiendo de las correlaciones de fuerzas, de las claridades de los distintos actores, y de las posibilidades del momento. Dentro de ese escenario, existe un espacio que se ha abierto a los de abajo, no sólo en Catalunya, para profundizar las posibilidades de un futuro federado, sin monarquía, con democracia deliberante para los de abajo. Que esto es posible lo demostró, con todas sus contradicciones, la convocatoria a la huelga general del 3 de Octubre, convocatoria que partió de una serie de organizaciones anarcosindicalistas (CNT, CGT y Solidaridad Obrera) y que se extendió al conjunto de la sociedad. La actitud asumida por los anarcosindicalistas de oponerse sin peros a la supresión de libertades y la represión bestial, de traer al pueblo al campo de lucha, para que no sea sólo espectador, y sumar una serie de demandas al derecho a la autodeterminación, como ser el fin de los recortes laborales, trabajo decente, etc. demuestra lo que el movimiento libertario puede hacer cuando decide ser con otros y se resuelve a tomar la iniciativa. Sin miedo, el anarcosindicalismo fue clave para llenar de contenido social a los hechos de las últimas semanas, y para abrir una brecha en los discursos meramente nacionalistas, trayendo la lucha de clases a la palestra. Sobre esto, hemos tenido la oportunidad de charlar con un compañero de Embat, organización anarquista catalana que ha estado sin vacilaciones en la agitación y la lucha de estos días. La conversación que sostuvimos entrega muchos elementos de juicio para entender mejor una situación compleja que se ha desarrollado de manera inesperada en tan poco tiempo y que en los próximos días tendrá nuevos desarrollos que pueden cambiar radicalmente el panorama europeo. At a juncture of structural crisis, in Spain, there are more and more Catalans who no longer want to be part of this state: today, a country ruled by a corrupt party (The Partido Popular or PP), with a government and a deep state that has not broken with Francoism, of which the monarchy is the faithful representation of this continuity; and this would be added to urbanistic ballots, bank bailouts, austerity policies, high unemployment rates and a lack of guarantees and opportunities. All this is the image and reality of the so-called Regime of ’78; a political framework marked by a pact of silence so that the crimes of the Franco regime did not come to light and were never prosecuted. The remains of Franco were never cleared from the state institutions. It was the time called “Transition” to a democracy that never came and a Constitution that many people have not voted for. Πολλά έχουν γραφτεί για τον Ισπανικό εμφύλιο και θα συνεχίζονται να λέγονται διότι υπάρχουν ακόμα πολλές ιστορίες να ειπωθούν, αλλά και γιατί δεν έχουν εξεταστεί επαρκώς. Πολλές φορές άγνωστες πτυχές, όχι τόσο προσιτές στο ευρύ κοινό δεν αναδεικνύονται ή παραλείπονται λόγω της ιδιαιτερότητας και της εξειδίκευσής τους. Μια τέτοια χαρακτηριστική περίπτωση είναι η υγειονομική περίθαλψη κατά την διάρκεια του εμφυλίου πολέμου.
Μερικές σημειώσεις εξ αφορμής της ταινίας για τον αναρχικό αντιφασίστα αντάρτη «Κίκο Σαμπατέ» που προβάλλεται αυτές τις μέρες (Φεβρουάριος 2023) στην Ισπανία. Ο αναρχικός Francesc Sabaté Llopart, γνωστότερος ως “El Quico”, συμμετείχε στον ισπανικό εμφύλιο πόλεμο, στην αντιναζιστική αντίσταση στη Γαλλία αλλά και στον ένοπλο αγώνα κατά του Φράνκο. Ο Sabaté αποτέλεσε τον κατ’ εξοχήν δημόσιο κίνδυνο για το καθεστώς του Φράνκο πραγματοποιώντας αρκετές δολοφονίες φασιστών και ένοπλες ληστείες για τη χρηματοδότηση της αντίστασης.

Ο Άνσελμο Λορένθο δεν υπήρξε απλά μια εξέχουσα φυσιογνωμία του πρώιμου ισπανικού αναρχικού κινήματος, αλλά ο πλέον πρωτοποριακός εκφραστής του αναρχισμού και βασικός «υπαίτιος» για την διάδοση των αναρχικών ιδεών στην προεπαναστατική Ισπανία. Δεν είναι τυχαίο το παρωνύμιο ο “παππούς του αναρχισμού” που του δόθηκε, λόγω της πολυετούς, συνεπούς και καθοριστικής προσφοράς του στην ανάπτυξη του ισπανικού αναρχισμού. Το τίμημα της αγωνιστικής του στράτευσης το πλήρωσε πολλές φορές με εξορίες, συλλήψεις και αιχμαλωσίες.
Στις 19 Ιούλη 2022 συμπληρώθηκαν 86 χρόνια από την Ισπανική Επανάσταση. Κάθε χρόνος που περνά είναι μια νέα ευκαιρία για να αναλογιστούμε τις επιτυχίες και τις αποτυχίες μιας τόσο μεγάλης στιγμής στην ιστορία. Όταν μελετάμε την ιστορία ως επαναστάτες, συνήθως λαμβάνουμε υπόψη την ισορροπία δυνάμεων, τους οικονομικούς παράγοντες, τις ιδεολογίες, τις οργανώσεις, την κουλτούρα και τις συνθήκες στις οποίες συμβαίνει κάτι. Αλλά μερικές φορές, ιδιαίτερα σημαντικά μαθήματα γίνονται ξεκάθαρα όχι όταν αναλύονται οι μεγάλες αφαιρέσεις (abstractions), αλλά οι ιδέες συγκεκριμένων μορφών που δραστηριοποιούνται σε καθοριστικές (ή σημαντικές) περιστάσεις. more >>
