The Taliban are now in control in most of Afghanistan. They are already instituting strict sharia law and will move against the Shi’ites who they see as heretics, in particular the Hazaras. The gains that women have made over the last period, with increased education for girls, women in public life, and the adoption of Western style clothing, will all now disappear. The UCL participated in the European delegation to observe the Turkish war crimes in Iraqi Kurdistan. This delegation is taking place at a time when Erdogan is received at the NATO summit. L’UCL a participé à la délégation européenne d’observation des crimes de guerre turcs au Kurdistan irakien. Cette délégation prend place au moment où Erdogan est reçu au sommet de l’OTAN. Sa rencontre formelle avec Macron, ne dissimule pas son objectif qui est évidemment de légitimer son invasion illégale de l’Irak, et d’obtenir de l’OTAN un blanc-seing pour poursuivre sa campagne militaire. Son prétexte : éradiquer le PKK, « organisation terroriste », selon la liste noire du Conseil de l’Europe. Sa stratégie : intimider les nations européennes, maintenir bombardements, pression militaire et destruction de moissons au Kurdistan irakien, obliger le PDK de Mahmoud Barzani à collaborer ouvertement avec lui, contre ses frères et sœurs au Kurdistan. Last night have shown the result of the accumulation of anger of the youth who are the main victims of the COVID-19 pandemic and crisis. The myth of Australia’s unique military has been deployed to boost support for Australian participation in all subsequent imperialist wars. The less justification there is for the war, the more the propaganda focuses on the supposed virtues of the troops rather than the justice of the cause. A talk on the Ukrainian-Russian war, from an anarchist perspective. I reviewed my reasons for being in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. But revolutionary anarchists should give no political support to the Ukrainian government nor to the U.S. imperialists who help it.

As far as I can tell, Ukrainian anarchists have in fact followed Malatesta’s approach. Virtually the whole country has risen up to oppose the invasion. There is voluntary organizing throughout the nation, both military and providing social services, despite chaos and destruction. Ukrainian anarchists have not made fools of themselves by opposing the resistance of the people. Instead they have merged with the broader movement of Ukrainians. Some have provided non-military services through mutual aid groups, such as food distribution. Others have formed a military unit composed of anarchists and anti-fascists. Although they have a good deal of autonomy, they coordinate with the Territorial Defense Forces.
This article covers the impact of the sanction on all sides. But the real losers are the working class and the oppressed people. It shows the way how we can fight back against both wars: the current military one and the sanctions war.
