Το 2023 η FAR συμπληρώνει 15 χρόνια ως αναρχική πολιτική οργάνωση. Και όπως πάντα, οι στρογγυλοί αριθμοί προκαλούν ισορροπία. Το ότι υπάρχει αναρχισμός στον 21ο αιώνα δεν συζητιέται πια από κανέναν, το ότι υπάρχουν πολλά ακόμα να γίνουν. Το ότι η οργάνωσή μας καταφέρνει να διατηρείται, να αναπτύσσεται και να επηρεάζει διαφορετικές κοινωνικές σφαίρες είναι το σημείο στο οποίο στεκόμαστε και σχεδιάζουμε να συνεχίσουμε να χτίζουμε τον ειδικό αναρχισμό στην Αργεντινή. The steady revival of organized Anarchism in the anglosphere has led to a re-engagement with the fundamental strategic questions of Anarchism. In what way should a revolutionary organization be structured? How should a revolutionary organization struggle for reforms? What role does the revolutionary organization play in the revolutionary process? In grappling with these questions the most novel contemporary insights have undoubtedly come from the Anarchist movement in Latin America, where the tradition of organized, class struggle anarchism was growing and successfully struggling whilst in the anglosphere it was languishing in a long period of decline.
In the spirit of clarifying and spreading the debates of Latin American Anarchism to the anglosphere, I contacted Felipe Correa in early 2022 and asked him questions that various comrades had raised during reading groups and informal discussions concerning the tendency – questions that could not be easily answered by the texts available to us. His extensive response to my questions, ranging from the notion of power, the role of organizations, and the relation between Anarchism and class politics, offers valuable and unique insight into this important tendency.

A constante renovação do anarquismo organizado no mundo anglófono levou a um reengajamento com as questões estratégicas fundamentais do anarquismo. De que maneira uma organização revolucionária deve estruturar-se? Como uma organização revolucionária deve lutar pelas reformas? Qual é o papel da organização revolucionária no processo revolucionário? Ao lidar com essas questões, os insights contemporâneos têm vindo, indubitavelmente, do movimento anarquista na América Latina, onde a tradição do anarquismo organizado e classista vem crescendo e obtendo bons resultados na luta, enquanto no mundo alglófono essa tradição tem estado em declínio há um longo período.
No espírito de esclarecer e difundir os debates do anarquismo latino-americano para o mundo anglófono, contatei Felipe Corrêa no início de 2022 e fiz a ele um conjunto de questões que vários companheiros levantaram nos grupos de leitura e nas discussões informais acerca do especifismo – questões que não podiam ser facilmente respondidas pelos textos disponíveis para nós. Suas extensas respostas às minhas questões – que abordam temas como conceito de poder, o papel das organizações e a relação entre anarquismo e política classista – oferecem insights valiosos e únicos dessa tendência contemporânea.

The present text —the core of which was taken from the introduction that we wrote for the French edition of Social Anarchism and Organization, by the Anarchist Federation of Rio de Janeiro (FARJ)[1]— aims to discuss the question of the specific anarchist political organization, based on the contributions of Mikhail Bakunin, Errico Malatesta and the Organizational Platform for a General Union of Anarchists, written by militants organized around the magazine Dielo Trudá, among whom were Nestor Makhno and Piotr Archinov.
We are going to take up the contributions of Bakunin and Malatesta to establish a dialogue between them and the Platform, trace the similarities and differences between the proposals of anarchists who advocate an organizational dualism and those of the Bolsheviks, and we will see the proximity of Malatesta with the Synthesis, as well as the historical impact of the Platform, which will make it possible to elucidate the positions that have been disseminated about this debate.

Algunas décadas atrás no habría ninguna duda a cerca de la afirmación de que el anarquismo es una ideología socialista y de izquierda y que el término “libertario” (y sus variaciones) pertenecen a esa tradición política. Infelizmente, de unos tiempos hacia acá en Brasil, se viene popularizando el absurdo llamado “anarco-capitalismo” como reivindicación de ese término por grupos de derecha. Toda vez que algún post nuestro se viraliza por internet, recibimos innumerables comentarios de jóvenes creyendo que es la mayor incongruencia hablar de anarquismo como parte del socialismo, y de socialismo libertario, etc. read full story / add a comment

Se cumplen 10 años de la aparición e identificación de los restos de nuestro compañero Alberto “Pocho” Mechoso. Se comprobó de esta manera el destino de uno de nuestros compañeros y el modo de actuación de “la patota de la OCOA” y todas las FFAA y policiales implicadas en el Plan Cóndor. Secuestrado en Buenos Aires junto a otros compañeros y compañeras, a manos de bestias asesinas como Gavazzo, Cordero, Silveira y otros genocidas, es llevado a “Automotores Orletti”, brutalmente torturado, secuestrados sus hijos y su esposa, Beatriz Castellonese, recientemente fallecida. Las bestias, las alimañas buscaban la “guita”, estaban desesperados con las finanzas hechas por la Organización con el secuestro de Hart, un empresario barraquero de dudosos negocios. “Pocho” fue pieza clave en dicho secuestro, el cual fue catalogado como el tercero más importante de la historia argentina por su monto. read full story / add a comment

1 de mayo de 1886! Hoy hace 136 años que la clase obrera estadounidense creó una experiencia invaluable para las próximas luchas de las clases trabajadoras de todo el mundo al decir "¡esta lucha es nuestra última lucha!". Ella sigue siendo una victoria hoy por hoy. La exigencia de "8 horas para trabajar, 8 horas para dormir, 8 horas para lo que queramos" para reemplazar las 16 horas de trabajo y los ataques del capitalismo contra las vidas de las clases trabajadoras en el siglo XIX se convirtió en una huelga general en Estados Unidos. La huelga general ha sido una de las armas más significativas de la acción anarquista como una ganancia para la historia de la lucha de clases.
La lucha por las 8 horas nunca ha sido vista como una simple petición de reforma por parte de los anarquistas. Los y las anarquistas lucharon para reemplazarla por una revolución social con la afirmación: "independientemente de nuestra jornada de trabajo, sea de 2 horas o de 8 horas, este tiempo es esclavitud si trabajamos para los patrones".

Primo maggio 1886! 136 anni fa, oggi, la classe operaia americana creò un'esperienza inestimabile per le successive lotte delle classi lavoratrici di tutto il mondo dicendo "questa lotta è la nostra ultima lotta!". Rimane una vittoria fino ai nostri giorni. La richiesta di "8 ore di lavoro, 8 ore di riposo, 8 ore per quello che vogliamo" per sostituire le 16 ore di lavoro e gli assalti del capitalismo che prendevano di mira la vita delle classi lavoratrici allora nel XIX secolo si trasformò in uno sciopero generale in America. Lo sciopero generale è stato una delle armi più significative dell'azione anarchica come conquista alla storia della lotta di classe.
Per gli anarchici, la lotta per le 8 ore non è mai stata vista come una semplice richiesta di riforma. Gli anarchici hanno lottato per sostituirla con una rivoluzione sociale, con l'affermazione che "Indipendentemente dal nostro orario di lavoro, che sia di 2 ore o di 8 ore, è schiavitù se lavoriamo per i padroni". read full story / add a comment

We don’t support running in elections or campaigning for them, but some Socialists are wasting their resources doing just that. Because none of them are in any danger of being elected this time around, the MACG considers that it’s possible to give them a principled vote (though it would be different if any might win – they would have to pass the test above). Such a vote is symbolic: you’re putting up your hand for Socialism and against capitalism. It’s a small gesture which you can make without compromising yourself. But we still think it was a mistake for honest Socialists to run. read full story / add a comment

Πρώτη Μαΐου 1886! Σήμερα, πριν από 136 χρόνια, η αμερικανική εργατική τάξη δημιούργησε μια ανεκτίμητη εμπειρία για τους μετέπειτα αγώνες των εργατικών τάξεων σε όλο τον κόσμο, λέγοντας "αυτός ο αγώνας είναι ο τελευταίος μας αγώνας!". Παραμένει μια νίκη μέχρι σήμερα. Το αίτημα "8 ώρες δουλειά, 8 ώρες ξεκούραση, 8 ώρες για ό,τι θέλουμε" για να αντικαταστήσει τις 16 ώρες εργασίας και τις επιθέσεις του καπιταλισμού που στόχευαν τις ζωές των εργατικών τάξεων τότε, τον 19ο αιώνα, έγινε γενική απεργία στην Αμερική. 1 Mayıs 1886! 136 yıl önce Amerika işçi sınıfının “bu kavga en sonuncu kavgamızdır artık!” diyerek başlattığı mücadele, ardında tüm dünya işçi sınıfı için paha biçilemez bir deneyim ve zafer bıraktı. 19. Yüzyılda 16 saate kadar varan çalışma sürelerine ve kapitalizmin, işçi sınıfının yaşamını hedef alan saldırılarına karşılık “8 saat iş, 8 saat uyku, 8 saat canımız ne isterse” talebi, 1 Mayıs 1886’da tüm Amerika’da bir genel greve dönüştü. Genel Grev, anarşist hareketin sınıf mücadelesi tarihine kazandırdığı en önemli silahlardan biriydi. 8 saat mücadelesi, anarşistler tarafından hiçbir zaman basit bir reform talebi olarak görülmedi. “Patronlar için çalışıyorsak, 2 saat çalışmak da köleliktir, 8 saat çalışmak da” diyen anarşistler, 8 saat mücadelesini toplumsal devrim mücadelesine dönüştürmek için mücadele ettiler. read full story / add a comment

The present text aims to discuss, from a theoretical-historical perspective, some organizational issues related to anarchism. It responds to the assertion, constantly repeated, that anarchist ideology or doctrine is essentially spontaneous and contrary to organization. Returning to the debate among anarchists about organization, this article maintains that there are three fundamental positions on the matter: those who are against organization and / or defend informal formations in small groups (anti-organizationism); supporters of organization only at the mass level (syndicalism and communitarianism), and those who point out the need for organization on two levels, the political-ideological and the mass (organizational dualism).
This text delves into the positions of the third current, bringing theoretical elements from Mikhail Bakunin and then presenting a historical case in which the anarchists held, in theory and in practice, that position: the activity of the Federation of Anarchist Communists of Bulgaria (FAKB) between the twenties and forties of the twentieth century.
