On the PNH ban of Mayday demonstration in Haiti
pwen_6.png

With this document, Batay Ouvriye wishes, through the press, to announce and, once again, denounce the fact that we are being refused, again, the right to demonstrate and this: on a Mayday!

Indeed, in Cap-Haitian, and this time, in Port-au-Prince as well, because of the date, the police has refused us the right to take to the streets! Supposedly because there will be various forms of mobilization, such as the bourgeois and government forms such as alienating fairs and handicraft exhibitions.

However, we know our rights, including those to demonstrate, and especially, that Mayday isn’t anything else than our commemoration of the memory of the working classes’ mobilizations. Because of this: we’ll take to the streets! Not only to denounce skyrocketing prices, unemployment and the corruption that accompany them, but also to denounce the handouts the government has decided on, supposedly to exit the crisis, and furthermore to denounce the decision to forbid our mobilization.

THE STRUGGLE HAS JUST BEGUN!
