On Saturday afternoon, 9 February, in Fano around 50 anti-fascists participated in the vigil held outside the premises of "Alternativa Libertaria" in Via da Serravalle 16, 50 metres from Piazza XX Settembre, where a demonstration by the Forza Nuova naziskins was being held.

Under a banner which read "Fano is anti-fascist" and another addressed to the population of the town that read "Warning! Fascists roaming free", we were joined by comrades from the anarchist movement in the Marches region (the FAI's Jesi group, the Malatesta Group from Ancona, Kars from Civitanova, individuals from Monteporzio), from the grassroots syndicalist movement (RdB/CUB from Fano, Unicobas from Pesaro, USI/AIT from Ancona), representatives of grassroots associations, the PRC, the PCdL, the PMLI and also the comrades from the "La Squola" social centre in Pergola, fresh from the anti-fascist demonstration that took place in the afternoon in Pesaro, scene of regular atacks by neo-fascists.

An attempted provocation by a dozen or so nazis with "Roman" salutes ended up with them getting their arses kicked and having to run to safety behind the police lines, from where they were accompanied to the police station.

The Fano branch of the Federazione dei Comunisti Anarchici would like to thank all the comrades who participated and suported us, demonstrating that the unity of all anti-fascists is more essential than ever if we are to stop and drive back this neo-fascist presence which is so aggressive that it has become a real emergency and a danger to the safety of people in towns throughout the province of Pesaro Urbino.
