Cortège anticapitaliste à Orléans, 1er mai 2021
Malgré un contexte sanitaire et social plus que difficile après plus d’un an de gestion autoritaire et catastrophique de l’état français face au coronavirus, le 1er mai en France fut globalement une réussite. Ce fut l’occasion dans les différentes villes où l’UCL est implantée occasion de débattre et d’exposer nos revendications (comme en témoignent les différentes photos que nous ont fait parvenir les camarades et que nous relayons dans cet article.), particulièrement autour de la réforme de l’assurance-chômage en lien avec les occupations des travailleurs et travailleuses précaire de la culture. Lors des manifestations parisienne et lyonnaise du 1er mai les cortèges syndicaux de la CGT ont été attaqués physiquement et par jet de produits acides. Rappelons que le 1er mai est, non pas la « fête du travail », mais depuis 1887 un jour international de revendication et de lutte de notre classe en hommage à nos camarades syndiqués assassinés par la police de Chicago le 1er mai 1886. Malgré le contexte sanitaire et social plus que compliqué, la mobilisation du 1er Mai partout en France ne doit pas être éclipsée par ces violences inacceptables.
