Santiago, Chile: Labour forum in the Academy

As part of a new commemoration of May Day, the day of the worker, the FEL akademia in conjunction with "La Batalla de los Trabajadores" are pleased to announce this forum, which will be seeking to set out and highlight the latest issues and forms of mobilization that affect the workers and their various unions, with two recent examples - our comrades of the Sindicato Complementos (retail subcontractors) and the Sindicato Nacional Jumbo (prominent in the first legal strike in that company). We will also have the special participation of comrade Manu García, a CNT militant, who will be talk about the historical origins of May Day, from the standpoint of a union activist.

The event will take place in the Salvador Allende Auditorium at the Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano (Condell 343, Providencia, between Baquedano and Salvador metro), on 2 May next at 4.00pm.

Everyone is invited.

Salud y Arriba los que luchan!
