Manifesto di uno dei meetings
Il meeting anticlericale si è svolto a Fano per 15 anni, diventando allora un punto di riferimento nella battaglia italiana per il rispetto della diversità culturale e della libertà di pensiero, in un Paese tuttora per molti aspetti fortemente arretrato rispetto al riconoscimento di libertà individuali e di diritti civili invece ritenuti scontati e da tempo attivi in altri paesi d'Europa: dal diritto al testamento biologico alla fecondazione assistita, ai diritti civili delle coppie di fatto.Storia di autogestione e di sfide, di provocazioni (ricordiamo l'aggressione di skinheads di destra nel 1988, e le speculazioni della stampa) e di repressione (coi tentativi di vietare l'esposizione della scritta "meeting anticlericale" o al divieto di usare spazi pubblici del 1990, le denunce e i processi successivi, sempre vinti), caos creativo e punto d'incontro dal quale nel 1986 nacque anche la prima versione organizzata della protesta civile contro la scorretta conta dei fedeli cattolici in Italia: l'Associazione per lo Sbattezzo.[English]

While I personally do not belive in God, I am against any "militant atheist" anti-religious campaigns. It is our practical political opinions which are important on whether anarchists can work together (abortion, GLBT liberation, sex, pacifism), not our views on God.So long as there are states, we raise the old bourgeois-democratic demand of “separation of church and state.” The church is free to say anything it wishes about abortion rights and to try to persuade its followers. But it must not be able to impose its views by the power of the police and the courts. Separation of church and state also means that there must be no government-imposed atheism as under the so-called Communist states.

One of the better known stock anarchist phrases is 'No Gods, No Masters' but despite this there have been various attempts to invent religous forms of anarchist thought. In recent years there have been various attempts to blend Islam and anarchism - we are aware of examples from South Africa, the USA and Britain. The more traditional anarchist communist approach has been to extend the hostile analysis of other state religions like Christanity and Confucianism to Islam.
Here we present a range of anarchist communist writings on Islam as well as writings by Islamic 'anarchists' and background writings by socialists and others on Islam.

The attack on Charlie Hebdo last January was carefully designed to the full benefit of IS, but also to the benefit of the ruling Elite in the advanced capitalist world. It was not intended as punishment for Charlie Hebdo's satiric attitude toward what IS considers as "sacred", but as punishment for millions of Muslims who accepted such an attitude by their silence, especially Muslims who live in France and the west.
