... read full story / add a comment

... read full story / add a comment

Well, before 2 days I was discriminated again, so I decided to spread information about institutional racism and fascism in Scandinavia. Discrimination became so wide in society that you should always ask Danish for his/her opinion about East Europeans in Denmark before you gives them place for sleeping or anything in your country. ... read full story / add a comment

As the situation gets worse by the day in Iceland and unemployment rises steadily, the people of Iceland are becoming increasingly angry and are already moving from looking for answers to taking Direct Action themselves.

Now that the country is completely broke it is clear capitalism has failed them and there has been a significant increase in Anarchist ideas that is taking hold amongst the population. ... read full story / add a comment

After years of illegal surveillance, threats, violence and intimidation against ecoactivists, the Icelandic police have now reached new heights in arbitrary repression by suing Olafur Pall Sigurdsson for property damage against a police vehicle which was deliberately driven into him at a potentially fatal speed.Olafur Pall Sigurdsson is a founding member and prominent activist involved in the Saving Iceland movement which has for several years used direct action and civil disobedience to try and stop aluminum giants like Alcoa and Alcan, as well as the Icelandic government, from turning vast areas of wilderness in the Icelandic highlands into flooded dams providing electricity for aluminum factories in small coastal towns. ... read full story / add a comment

More than a year has passed since we finished the second issue of our journal Dissident, which introduced insurrectional anarchism in Sweden. We chose to introduce the insurrectional perspective because we think it brings us valuable insights and experiences. These include the critique of organisational fetishism and activism, the shift of perspective from the mass to the active minority, and the importance of projectuality. Some critics, mostly syndicalists, unfortunately interpreted the insurrectional perspective in absolute terms. This text aims to answer those concerns and move the discussion forward. ... read full story / add a comment

The Batko Group are an anarchist communist group that study, discuss and develop revolutionary theory. We are undogmatic and want to develop and participate in a constructive critical debate, moving it forward within the anarchist movement.

It’s finally here, Dissident #2, bigger, better and if possible even more interesting than before. Hopefully we have learned from our mistakes, and cured most of the childhood diseases that the first issue suffered from. Since then the editorial board has expanded, and the political composition of the group has shifted to some degree from a more platformist position (that we presented in Dissident #1) towards the perspectives that constitute the theme of this issue, “insurrectionary anarchism”. ... read full story / add a comment
