Our movement needs more people who ‘get it’ speaking and writing on matters of race and autonomy. No one can offer the perfect theory, but together we can build something that is a lot better than the mess we have today. ... read full story / add a comment

I shall argue for the replacement of the “race” formulation and the over-emphasis upon “white-skin privilege” with a “return” to the national question(s) framework and argue that no separate politics or forms of organizing that centers and emphasizes its focus upon whites is correct or efficacious, but arguably, harmful and hurtful to the cause of building working class unity and power within the U.S. ... read full story / add a comment

The idea for an anarchy infobox came when people wanted to learn about anarchy 24 hours a day in Olympia. Keeping the local zine library open all night seemed impractical. People also don't have access to the internet at all times and can't access websites like
zinelibrary.net. Having an old newspaper box in the backyard helped put this idea into action. ... read full story / add a comment

Though many of us are in agreement with the principles of social change movement, people of color are tired of the games, the lack of clarity and the power-grabbing that goes on with social movements. Many of us are ready to make the break with this white supremacist system, but need to see our vision. Anarchists and revolutionaries must talk about those solutions and put the vision out there – these times demand it. ... read full story / add a comment

north america / mexico / the left / other libertarian press Saturday April 05, 2008 - 18:55 by Jan Makandal
A general requirement of an organized movement is to build and accumulate forces. Unity needs to be built not created. As a progressive myself, I am against imperialist wars of aggression, imperialist occupations, but I do support peoples’ struggles for liberation. I will not be generically against war. How could I take positions that are against the essence of my own existence?
We need a movement, a real genuine autonomous progressive movement. Start again a poor people campaign [working people] Not one that is ready to concede from the very start the essence of our interest ... read full story / add a comment

... read full story / add a comment

A migrant farmworker organisation in the US, the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, is setting new precedents in horizontal, anti-capitalist resistance, having forced the world´s largest fast food corporation, McDonalds, and the world´s largest restaurant company, Yum Brands (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, etc), to pay money back down their supply chains to address tomato pickers´ sub-poverty wages and the threat of modern-day slavery.
