Last week Jacob Zuma visited the Sweetwaters shack settlement near Orange Farm in Johannesburg. He informed the nation that his shock at seeing human beings living like pigs had almost reduced him to tears. He also visited the Siyathemba settlement in Balfour where he, like a typical bullying ward councillor, berated angry residents for asking the questions that mattered. ... read full story / add a comment

... read full story / add a comment

Protea South is one of the informal settlements that has not yet benefited in the last 16 years of democracy. As it stands, people in Protea South are still living without services (water, electricity and toilets). Yesterday the community that lives in the bond houses decided to disconnect the electricity that the people from the informal settlement connected into their tin shacks. They went around disconnecting and beating people who connected the electricity within their shacks. As a result, two people were shot and one died on the spot while the other one was rushed to hospital. ... read full story / add a comment

There is speculation that the recent bombing of a bank in Canada might have been a false flag operation carried out by agent provocateurs to blame anarchists and give police a reason to further ramp up security. In many ways, the whole security operations for the G8/G20 summits are a sideshow designed to serve as a distraction. Any violence and mayhem before or during the meetings plays right into the globalists hands and will be used to justify a police state crackdown. ... read full story / add a comment

The Abahlali baseMjondolo commune in the Kennedy Road squatter camp was smashed late last year when the movement was attacked by an ethic militia organised by the local party structures and backed by the police and intelligence agencies. But the Kennedy Road settlement remains under ANC control and violent intimidation continues. ... read full story / add a comment

Today, 26 March 2010, more than fifty Early Childhood Development principals delivered a memorandum of grievances to the Mayor of Johannesburg Amos Masondo demanding children’s right to education since South Africa is celebrating Human Rights month. It is a fact that under the constitution of the country, childrens’ right are fundamentally important than the City of Johannesburg By-laws. The group will be delivering the memorandum at the City of Johannesburg Mayors Office at eleven o’ clock in the morning to voice out their grievances.
