Questo freddo inverno non ha congelato la lotta unitaria contro l'occupazione e contro l'invasione dei coloni. La lotta persiste a Beit Ummar, Bil'in, Gerusalemme Est, Kafr ad-Dik, Ma'sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, Kafr Qaddum, Colline a sud di Hebron, Walaja... Sebbene qui l'inverno sia molto mite, con giornate soleggiate e non così fredde, il clima politico è invece tempestoso. Gli attacchi dei coloni ai residenti palestinesi a mo' di punizione per le restrizioni inflitte dalle autorità israeliane ai coloni stessi, si intrecciano con le lotte unitarie, espresse soprattutto con la "Tsumud", resistenza persistente contro il subdolo appropriarsi delle terre palestinesi e contro i conseguenti sgomberi. La lotta dei lavoratori dei cantieri di Sestri Ponente e di Palermo in corso dallo scorso giugno, che è culminata con la recente occupazione dell'aeroporto di Genova da parte degli operai e che si sta svolgendo ancora in queste ore con scioperi e blocchi stradali, ha per ora ottenuto una convocazione a Roma. L'incontro con il Governo non solo non ha dato risposte certe e garanzie alle migliaia di lavoratori in procinto di andare in cassa integrazione, ma non ha nemmeno rilanciato la proposta di una ripartizione dl lavoro tra cantieri, che consentirebbe la sopravvivenza di quelli a rischio chiusura fino a nuove commesse. read full story / add a comment

The winter cold has not frozen the joint struggle against the occupation and settler colonialist encroachment. The struggle in Beit Ummar, Bil'in, East Jerusalem, Kafr Ad-Dik, Ma'sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, Kafr Qaddum, South Hebron hills, Walaja... The world Spring uprising did not perish with the coming of the winter cold, nor even hibernate... it just went into a lower gear. After getting over the cold shock of mid-winter, spring buds are starting to develop and the swallows start to fly. In our region there are some signs in the occupied Palestine regions and more so in Israel. The destruction of the last main tent camp of Tel Aviv Hatikva ignited the social struggle movement pre-spring wave of struggle. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

Though the winter here is very mild, with most days sunny and not so cold, the political weather is stormy. The colonial settler attacks on Palestinian villagers as punishment for the restriction of settlers by the Israeli authorities are interwoven with the joint struggles, mainly in the villages' persistent "Tsumud" resistance against creeping encroachment onto their lands and the transfer. In addition to the hot struggle in Nabi Salih and the intermittent one in Walaja, there are the Kafr Qaddum and Kafr Ad-Dik which joined lately, and the long-term ones of Beit Ummar, Bil'in, al-Ma'sara, Ni'lin, Sheikh Jarrah (Jerusalem/al-Quds), and the South Hebron Hills. And of course, though in a toned-down measure, the social justice "Occupy Rothschild" struggle continues, focusing on the resistance against destruction of the few remaining tent camps. A volte la persistenza (tsumud) è il principale aspetto della lotta contro nemici più potenti. A volte, piccoli successi fanno bene al morale di chi lotta. Tra questi l'adesione del villaggio di Qaddum alla lista delle lotte unitarie portate avanti dagli attivisti della lotta popolare locale e dagli israeliani di Anarchici Contro il Muro. Some time the persistence (Tsumud) is the main aspect of the struggle against the mighty enemies. Some times, small successes improve the feelings of the involved. Such seems to be the joining of the Qadum village to the list of joint struggle of local popular struggle activists and the Israeli anarchists against the wall. During the years we were invited and participated there in activities but only lately it ripened to the level of Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Ma'asarah, Beit Ummar, Sheikh Jarrah, and Nabi Saleh. The expansion of the joint struggle start to light red lamps on the Israeli dash board and the anarchists are mentioned more and more as an enemy that needs a harsh treatment... even if it will damage the farcical/phoney image of Israeli democracy.
