Το National Plan to Transition Australia’s National COVID-19 Response (Εθνικό Σχέδιο αντιμετώπισης της COVID-19 στην Αυστραλία) είναι ένα σχέδιο καταστροφής. Η Ομοσπονδιακή Κυβέρνηση, μετά από εντολή των ισχυρότερων εγχώριων καπιταλιστών, σχεδιάζει να εγκαταλείψει τον αγώνα για την εξάλειψη της COVID19 και ακόμη να την επαναφέρει σε περιοχές της Αυστραλίας που τώρα δεν επηρεάζονται από αυτήν. The National Plan is that solution and the current outbreak in New South Wales is the wedge which the Federal Government is using to make it look inevitable. Unlikely as it might sound, Scott Morrison and Gladys Berejiklian don’t want to stop this wave. Μερικοί θα ρωτήσουν για τους αδύναμους χαρακτήρες, δεν πρέπει αυτοί να προστατεύονται; Βέβαια, αλλά για να μπορούν να το κάνουν αυτό, είναι απαραίτητο οι γονείς να καταλάβουν ότι η μόρφωση των παιδιών δεν είναι συνώνυμη με τη μαζική εκπαίδευση. Για να σημαίνει πραγματικά η μόρφωση κάτι, πρέπει να εστιάζει στην ελεύθερη ανάπτυξη του εσωτερικού δυναμικού και των κλίσεων του παιδιού. Μόνο έτσι μπορούμε να ελπίζουμε για ένα ελεύθερο άτομο και προφανώς για μια ελεύθερη κοινωνία που θα βάζουν τέλος στις παρεμβάσεις και στους εξαναγκασμούς στην ανθρώπινη ανάπτυξη. read full story / add a comment

Le 1er mai en France a globalement été une réussite, dans les différentes villes où l'UCL est implantée, comme en témoignent les différentes photos que nous ont fait parvenir les camarades et que nous relayons dans cet article. Dans la plupart des manifestations, il a été l'occasion de débattre et d'exposer nos revendications, particulièrement autour de la réforme de l'assurance-chômage puisque les précaires du secteur de la culture continuent d'occuper les lieux culturels à travers toute la France contre cette réforme inique. Malheureusement, le Premier Mai parisien a été émaillé de violences inacceptables contre le mouvement ouvrier, en particulier contre la CGT. A Lyon et Nantes également, une partie des manifestant-es de ce qu'on a coutume d'appeler "le cortège de tête" a pris à partie les syndicats et les intermittent-es et précaires en lutte. La répression policière contre le mouvement social n'était pas suffisante, il a fallu que des gens aient la bonne idée de s'attaquer en plus aux organisations syndicales... Nous relayons ici le communiqué de l'Union Communiste Libertaire suite à ces événements et apportons par la même occasion notre entière solidarité aux camarades blessé-es et évidemment choqué-es. read full story / add a comment

Ο καπιταλισμός το 2021 δεν έχει ακόμη νικήσει την πανδημία του κορονοϊού και η πτωτική τάση όσον αφορά την αύξηση των μισθών στις προηγμένες χώρες δεν έχει αλλάξει. Η κοινωνική ανισότητα συνεχίζει να αυξάνεται, ενώ ο ρατσισμός και ο μισογυνισμός είναι εδραιωμένος στην κρατική πολιτική. Σε πολλές χώρες, η καπιταλιστική δημοκρατία καταρρέει. Το ριζοσπαστικό εργατικό κίνημα που γεννιέται είναι ακόμα νέο και αδύναμο, αλλά οι υλικές συνθήκες το βοηθούν να αναπτυχθεί. Αυτό το εργατικό κίνημα πρέπει να ενωθεί σε διεθνή βάση για να ανατρέψει τον καπιταλισμό και να τερματίσει κάθε καταπίεση σε παγκόσμια κλίμακα. Capitalism in 2021 still hasn’t defeated the coronavirus pandemic and the downward trend in wage rises in advanced countries hasn’t changed. Social inequality continues to increase, while racism and misogyny are entrenched state policy. In many countries, capitalist democracy is crumbling. The radical workers’ movement which is being born is still young and weak, but the material conditions are helping it develop. This workers’ movement needs to unite internationally in order to overthrow capitalism and end all oppression worldwide. The myth of Australia’s unique military has been deployed to boost support for Australian participation in all subsequent imperialist wars. The less justification there is for the war, the more the propaganda focuses on the supposed virtues of the troops rather than the justice of the cause. While the virtues of the Anzacs were part of the propaganda for World War II, they were more prominent during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and have become the dominant theme in reporting and discussion of Australia’s participation in the imperialist wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. read full story / add a comment

In these circumstances, the military effort in Afghanistan quickly became an occupation. All Afghan civilians were the enemy, unless they were known tools of the occupiers. And so the fighting age males were deemed fair game. Imperialist war cannot be waged justly, so the political decisions of John Howard, Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard and other Prime Ministers made the crimes of the soldiers on the ground inevitable. It is the vehicle for fighting the economic inequality that is driving down living standards for US workers for the first time since the Great Depression and fuelling the growth of Fascism. It is, though, much more than that.
