El día 3 de Marzo, tres dirigentes campesinos de la Asociación de Trabajadores Campesinos del Tolima (Astracatol) fueron detenidos ilegalmente, en el marco de operaciones de contrainsurgencia, por efectivos del Ejército adscritos a la Sexta Brigada, que opera en el Tolima. Esta detención ilegal, así como el trato intimidatorio que recibieron durante esas 24 horas de angustia, es prueba de los atropellos que cotidianamente tienen que aguantar los campesinos en el Sur del Tolima y en todas las zonas de consolidación militar de Colombia. En particular, Astracatol ha venido sufriendo una persecución feroz, siendo uno de los casos emblemáticos el de los presosde La Marina, en el municipio de Chaparral. Ahead of the March 5 court appearance by anarchist Alexei Polikhovich, a joint meeting of the Central Councils of the Navy Social Movements and Unions have issued a call for his release. Polikhovich, 22, who is a retired Northern Fleet conscript sailor, was detained in July 2012 on suspicion of participation in the May 6, 2012, clashes with police during a rally in Moscow's Bolotnaya Square. According to his supporters, Polikhovich dragged to safety one of his fellow protesters who was being beaten by several police officers, whom he pushed off. He is being held in Butyrka pre-trial detention centre. read full story / add a comment

As manchetes anunciam a todo instante, para fora de Santa Catarina, o que acontece desde outubro de 2012, quando a agente prisional Deise Fernanda de Melo foi assassinada em São Pedro de Alcântara, município da Grande Florianópolis. Deise era casada com Carlos Antônio Alves, diretor da Penitenciária de Segurança Máxima. Domenica 21 gennaio scorso, alcuni attivisti politici sono stati arrestati dopo i disordini provocati dalla polizia davanti al tribunale di Alessandria. Tra loro ci sono quattro membri del Movimento Libertario Socialista, un militante dell'organizzazione Socialisti Rivoluzionari (trotskista) e 16 altri senza affiliazione. Tutti sono degli attivisti che lottano contro il regime reazionario dei Fratelli Musulmani. Dopo il 21 gennaio, gli imputati sono stati ingiustamente imprigionati per una ventina giorni. El pasado Domingo 21 de Enero, varios militantes políticos fueron arrestados después de enfrentamientos provocados por la policía en frente del tribunal de Alejandría. Entre ellos se encontraban cuatro miembros del Movimiento Socialista Libertario, un miembro de la organización Socialistas Revolucionarios (trotskistas) y otros 16 sin afiliación. Todos son activistas que luchan en contra del régimen reaccionario liderado por los Hermanos Musulmanes. Después del 21 de Enero los inculpados fueron injustamente encarcelados por unos veinte días. Last Sunday, January 21, several political activists were arrested after the riots provoked by
the police in front of the Alexandria court of justice. Among them are four members of the
Libertarian Socialist Movement, a member of the Revolutionary Socialist organization
(Trotskyist) and 16 other unaffiliated. All are activists who fight against the reactionary regime
of the Muslim Brotherhood. After January 21, the defendants were wrongfully imprisoned for
twenty days. Today, they are released on bail, except the Trotskyist militant, and are all still

Ο Νίκος Ρωμανός δεν είναι ούτε αποκλίνων, ούτε οργισμένος, ούτε μπορεί να προσδιοριθεί με όρους ψυχοπαθολογικής διαταραχής. Όπως επίσης δεν είναι ένας απλός παραβατικός ληστής τραπέζης. Ο Νίκος είναι κάτι πολύ παραπάνω: Ένας ενήλικας 20 ετών που επέλεξε να αγωνιστεί ενάντια στο σύστημα εξουσίας και στο σημερινό καθεστώς. Είναι πολιτικός κρατούμενος και αιχμάλωτος πολέμου διότι κατά δήλωση του οι πράξεις του έχουν πολιτικά κίνητρα και έτσι πρέπει να αντιμετωπισθούν. Le organizzazioni qui sotto firmatarie sostengono la giornata internazionale di solidarietà del 5 febbraio con i 5 prigionieri politici del Movimento Sociale e Cooperativo 1 Maggio (M.S.C. 1º de Mayo) a Bariloche, Rio Negro (Argentina) - deciso durante l'assemblea finale del 10° Incontro Annuale delle Organizzazioni Popolari e Autonome (ELAOPA) dell'America Latina - e chiedono l'immediata liberazione dei 5 arrestati per restituirli alle loro famiglie. Denunciamo i metodi violenti con cui la gendarmeria, per ordine della giustizia federale, ha disperso le famiglie dei prigionieri politici che manifestavano per ottenere la liberazione dei loro cari il 21 gennaio scorso. The undersigned organisations support the February 5th international day of solidarity with the five political prisoners from the 1st of May Cooperative and Social Movement (M.S.C. 1º de Mayo) in Bariloche, Rio Negro (Argentina) – agreed to at the final plenary of the 10th annual Latin American Encounter of Popular Autonomous Organisations (ELAOPA) – and the call for their immediate release and return to their homes and families. We denounce the violent manner with which the gendarmeria, under order of the Federal Justice, dispersed the families of the political prisoners demonstrating in demand of their release on 21st January. Similarly, we stand firmly in solidarity with the Federation of Grassroots Organisations (FOB), which has suffered aggressions and accusations in certain media sources of being “looters and delinquents” for defending their rights and actively demonstrating their solidarity and support for the persecuted comrades of Bariloche. El día 25 de enero debía celebrarse una nueva audiencia en el juicio contra los ocho dirigentes campesinos de La Marina acusados de “auxiliadores de la subversión”y de rebelión. Edwin Lugo Caballero, José Norbey Lugo Caballero, Arcesio Díaz, Aycardo Morales Guzmán, Saan Maceto Marín, Fredynel Chávez Marín, Alexander Guerrero Castañeda y Armando Montilla Rey (este último de Río Blanco), han sido acusados por falsos desmovilizados, testigos a sueldo de la red de cooperantes, como parte de la persecución que se vive en las zonas de consolidación militar contra toda forma de organización del pueblo. Su juicio se basa en el testimonio de una persona sin identificar. Sin embargo, ese día, la Fiscal Isabel Núñez Villalba, como si nada, decidió ausentarse y sencillamente no aparecerse al juicio –supuestamente por estar enferma, pero de esto los testigos se informaron el mismo día del juicio a las ocho de la mañana, cuando todos estaban allá.
