The ferment and anger increase in the general population of the occupied west bank and Gaza. The already two weeks daily evening stone throwing of the Shabab of Qalandia at the Israeli check post. The economic ferment of unemployed in the west bank forced Israel to admit economic support in fear of the collapse of the Palestinian authority. The more than 50 thousands of Palestinians working daily in Israel are part of this economic compromises. However, the Israeli efforts to transfer out farmers from the agrarian areas of C category intensify with the unofficially help of the settlers. The involvement of the Israeli activists in Nabi Saleh, Beit Ummar and South of Hebron Hills area are the most damaging to this project and the pogrom at Anata-Anatot where state forces personnel who live there participated with immunity was a clear message to the Israeli activists. When the world media is focused on the war mongering of israel directed to Iran, the naZionist settler colonialists efforts directed towards the Palestinian farmers in area C intensify. More suppression efforts are directed to Nabi Saleh and Qaddum who are in the front of the resistance. Other confrontations are a plenty in the South of Hebron Hills where the colonialist settlers are the main attackers and the state forces "only" help them. Lot of house demolitions are a daily phenomena. Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Ma'asara who started the persistent non armed popular struggle against the separation fence and occupation floated to the margin of both suppression and media reporting. C'erano tante speranze agli inizi dell'anno sia sul versante della lotta unitaria contro l'occupazione, sia sul versante della lotta sociale in Israele, nonché sul trattamento delle famiglie dei lavoratori ospiti e dei profughi. In tutti e tre i versanti di lotta bisogna registrare una evidente situazione di stallo. Solo un villaggio (Qaddum) si è aggiunto alle manifestazioni settimanali persistenti, mentre i fastidi procurati dai coloni intensificano gli sforzi per sgomberare i palestinesi dall'Area C. La maggior parte degli attivisti della lotta sociale dello scorso anno sono stati attratti dalle lusinghe parlamentari. Molte delle famiglie dei lavoratori ospiti con figli e molti profughi sono stati deportati. Sempre più profughi vengono arrestati e messi in un gigantesco campo di concentramento, in cui si suppone si trovi incarcerata la maggioranza dei profughi... There were high hopes at the beginning of the year both about the joint struggle against the occupation, about the social struggle, and about the treatment of guest workers families and the refugees. In all three of them there is a clear setback. Only one village (Qadumm) was added to the persistent weekly demonstrations, and settler colonialists harassments intensify the efforts to transfer villagers fro area C. Most of the activists of last year social struggle were lured to the parliamentary quagmire. Many of the guest worker families with children an lot of refugees were deported. More and more refugees are arrested and taken to the huge concentration camp most of the refugees are supposed to be incarcerated in... The Israeli state forces have escalated their repression lately. Their main targets are pressure on Palestinian farmers to transfer out of the Jordan valley and the south of Hebron hills, and the joint struggle against settler expansion and Israeli state terror at Beit Ummar, Nabi Saleh, and Qaddum. Throughout recent weeks there have been demonstrations and vigils against the intended bombing attack by Israel on the nuclear facilities of Iran. A few of them in front of the security compound at Kaplan street, others were mainly in front of the not far away apartment tower where the security minister Barak lives. After years of Friday demos in Bil'in and Saturdays and weekly days demos in other locations I took a break and traveled to the St-Imier international anarchist congress celebrating 140 years of struggle. I presented there three venues: one, the film Bil'in Habibti (Bil'in my love of Shai Polak) with discussion of the struggle in Bil'in, One about the Israeli Anarchists Against the Wall initiative, and one about the Anarchist psychotherapy I developed (http://ilan.shalif.com/psychology/content1.htm). Nothing can compare to a week with thousands of anarchists of all trends from all over the world - meeting in person comrades I work with for years. Due to the Ramadan day fasting weeks the joint struggle in the various villages was not as usual. As compensation our comrades were involved in the various demos in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. In Jerusalem a pink-black block participated in the gay parade. In Tel Aviv comrades demonstrated on Wednesday the Susia demolition orders at the military radio station. On Saturday comrades participated in the commemoration meeting of the massacre at the gay club three years ago. Not far away, we had the social struggle - Occupy Tel Aviv. In spite of a competition by a reformist split of the movement meeting promoted by media and hired leafleting workers, our march and demo was even better than the three previous Saturday demos of July. Fa caldo. Fa molto caldo a metà giornata in questi giorni di mezza estate. Nei villaggi, i palestinesi di religione musulmana hanno iniziato venerdì 20 luglio il periodo di Ramadan che prevede fino al tramonto l'astinenza da cibo ed acqua. Di conseguenza c'è meno partecipazione alle manifestazioni unitarie, che sono però più vivaci grazie al fatto che d'estate arrivano frotte di attivisti internazionali in ferie. It is hot. Very hot in the middle of the days in the middle of the summer. The Palestinian people of the villages who follow the Muslim religion started this Friday the Ramadan holidays in which eating and drinking is forbidden when the sun is shining. So the joint demonstrations were a bit shorter and smaller, but more lively as it is the season when a lot of international activists have their Summer vacations. We had this week the usual Friday demos in Bil'in, Ma'sara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'lin, Kufr Qaddum, Sheikh Jarrah and Saturday at Beit Ummar. Accompanying the villagers near colonialist settlements in the South Hebron hills... and throughout the week - peaking on late Saturday evening in the Social Struggle.
