Nella regione si trattiene il fiato in attesa del rimpasto di settembre. Nel frattempo lotte unitarie nelle solite località: a Beit Ummar, Bil'in, Gerusalemme/Al-Quds, Silwan, Ma'sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, sulle colline a sud di Hebron, e continuano le lotte per la giustizia sociale in Israele. Sebbene la tendenza principale della lotta contro l'austerità neoliberista non copra Gaza e le regioni palestinesi occupate, tuttavia coinvolge i palestino-israeliani i quali oltre alle discriminazioni ed al progressivo furto delle loro terre subiscono anche i colpi del neoliberismo. Nonostante la sospetta fiammata di scontri militari connessi con Gaza, la lotta la giustizia sociale in Israele non si ferma, se consideriamo una forte e silenziosa manifestazione di migliaia di persone a Tel Aviv (da 5.000 a 30.000 manifestanti secondo varie fonti - secondo i mie conti: "uno, due tre, molti"). La lotta unitaria nella Cisgiordania occupata prosegue sullo sfondo della vasta mobilitazione per la giustizia sociale in Israele. La "Rivoluzione degli Ulivi" si è espressa soprattutto nella manifestazione di venerdì scorso a Qalandiya. Gli Anarchici Contro il Muro e gli attivisti dei villaggi di Ni'lin, Bil'in e Nabi Salih si sono ritrovati a Qalandiya invece che restare nei loro villaggi. Nonostante questa decisione, la manifestazione del venerdì a Bil'in si è svolta lo stesso. Si sono tenute anche le manifestazioni sulle colline sud di Hebron e sabato le azioni a Walaja e Beit Ummar. Prosegue anche il fermento e la lotta contro il progetto colonialista a Silwan, nella Gerusalemme est occupata. La lotta per la giustizia sociale in Israele vede anche la partecipazione di cittadini palestinesi sia nelle città tutte palestinesi che in quelle miste israeliano-palestinesi. The joint struggle in the occupied West Bank continues to the background of the widespread social justice struggle in Israel. The "Olive Revolution" was expressed mainly in Friday's demonstration in Qalandiya. The Anarchists Against the Wall and village activists of Ni'lin, Bil'in and Nabi Salih converged in Qalandiya instead of the usual local actions. In spite of this, the Bil'in Friday demo was not canceled. The other struggles in South of Hebron Hills and the Saturday actions in Walaja and Beit Ummar were not missed either. The ferment and struggle against the settler project in eastern Jerusalem, occupied Silwan, continues too. The people of the region are starting to hold their breath looking forward for the middle of September reshuffle. Meanwhile, the usual locations of joint struggle: Beit Umar, Bil'in, Jerusalem-Al-Kuds, Silwan, Ma'asara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, South of Hebron Hills, and the inter Israeli social justice struggles continue. Though the main trend of the struggle against neo-liberalism austerity do not refer to the occupied Palestinian regions and Gaza, it does include the Israeli Palestinians which suffer in addition to neo-liberalism the suppression and discrimination and still advancing robbery of their lands. In spite of suspected inflammation in military clashes related to Gaza the social justice struggle continue - including a many thousands strong silent demonstration in Tel Aviv (5000 to 30000 according to various sources - my count was: "one, two, three, many"). Gli attivisti di sinistra israeliani e gli Anarchici Contro il Muro hanno partecipato in questa settimana soprattutto all'insorgenza di lotte sociali ma non è venuta meno la partecipazione alla lotta unitaria con gli attivisti palestinesi di base nonostante il digiuno quotidiano previsto dal Ramadan. Sono circa 80 le tendopoli - 7 quelle grandi a Tel Aviv, ed a dozzine in città a presenza sia ebraica che palestinese o in città abitate solo da palestinesi israeliani. The Israeli radicals and the Anarchists Against the Wall were involved this week in the social struggle uprising mainly but the joint struggle with the grassroots Palestinian activists did not diminish much in spite of the Ramadan daily fasting. About 80 tent camps - including 7 in greater Tel Aviv, and about dozen in towns with both Jewish and Palestinian communities or Israeli Palestinian towns. Il coinvolgimento degli anarchici contro il muro (spalla a spalla con gli attivisti della rete di solidarietà di Sheikh Jarrah) nelle lotte unitarie è un po' diminuito. Molte energie vengono impiegate nelle mobilitazioni in Israele. I compagni sono presenti soprattutto a Jaffa nel punto tenda di abitanti ebrei e palestinesi e nella tendopoli Lewinsky nel quartiere proletario. Sebbene alcuni "trattengano il respiro" in attesa delle decisioni ONU di settembre, le lotte unitarie si intensificano mentre le forze di stato aumentano i loro sforzi per mettere fine alle lotte unitarie a Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, Walaje, e Beit Ummar. The involvement of the anarchists against the wall initiative (Shoulder to shoulder with the activists of Sheikhjarah solidarity net work) in the Joint struggle diminished a bit. The involvement in the Israeli uprising need attending to. Comrades are involved mainly in the Jaffa joint tent camp of Jews and Palestinian inhabitants and the Lewinsky camp of poor working class neighborhood. Though some "hold their breath" waiting for September UN activity, the local struggles intensify as state forces increase their efforts to put end to the joint struggle in Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, Wallage, and Beit Ummar. Israele aumenta gli sforzi per stroncare la lotta unitaria a Nabi Salih e a Walaja. Sebbene siano gli attivisti israeliani quelli più coinvolti nell'insorgenza per la giustizia sociale, i palestinesi israeliani non sono a guardare e nemmeno gli anarchici impegnati nelle tendopoli e presenti come spezzone nella manifestazione di sabato partecipata da centinaia di migliaia di persone. The Israeli efforts to curb the joint struggle intensify in Nabi Saleh and Wallage. Though the Israeli activists are involved in the social justice uprising, the Israeli Palestinians are not absent from it and the anarchists were not absent from their local tent camps and their block in the Saturday hundred thousands march in Tel Aviv. The on-going struggles in occupied east Jerusalem focused on Sheik Jarah; in the south - at the south of Hebron mountains; in west of Ramallah - at Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Nebi Saleh; within Israel - at the Bedouin village of Al-Arakib. The announcement from the Irish government that households are to face a charge of €100 per annum from January 1st with separate water and property taxes to follow by 2014 has met with fierce opposition across the country. Radio and television shows have been inundated with texts and phonecalls from irate people who see this latest tax as a step too far and who have been pledging to resist the charge. In a TV3 IrelandAM poll this morning, Wednesday, 87% of people answered ‘Yes’ to the question “Would you consider boycotting the household charge?”

Sembra proprio che le rivolte dei popoli arabi abbiano iniettato un'energia ribelle a tutto il mondo. Lo si avverte nei villaggi in lotta contro il muro della separazione, contro il furto della terra da parte dei coloni, contro l'occupazione. Ma l'incendio ha preso anche Israele con uno sciopero ben riuscito dei consumatori contro l'aumento del formaggio "fiocchi di latte". Ma pure con la resistenza dei dottori internisti degli ospedali contro un accordo di compromesso dopo uno sciopero parziale di cento e più giorni con azioni dirette e manifestazioni che hanno obbligato le associazioni di categoria a rigettare l'accordo. Ed infine con la diffusa rivolta contro il caro-casa. In nove giorni si è passati da una dozzina di tende nel centro di Tel Aviv ad oltre 2.000 tende nella capitale ed in altri centri del paese, da poche timide azioni dirette a manifestazioni di 200.000 persone. (negli ultimi 2 giorni, nonostante un compromesso proposto dal governo, sia le lotte per la casa che quelle degli ospedalieri si sono diffuse ulteriormente e sono cresciute). It seems the regional uprising of the people in the Arab countries injected rebellion energy all over the world. It is felt in the villages struggling against the separation fence, robbery of lands by colonialist settlers and the occupation. It has ignited within Israel a successful consumer strike after a steep rise in price of cottage cheese. It made the hospital internist doctors resist a compromise in agreement after a hundred-day plus partial strike and starting some direct actions and demos... forcing already the retreat of the medical doctors association from the compromise. It also started a widespread rebellion focused mainly on housing but with a wider spectrum from the beginning. In nine days from a start of a dozen tents in centra Tel Aviv to the 2,000-tent camp there and many other loca ones throughout the country, and from a few hesitant direct actions to a huge 200,000-march. Un'altra settimana tempestosa di lotta unitaria sotto gli occhi dei media mondiali mentre la flotilla di mare viene continuamente sabotata da Israele e stati complici. La Flotilla volante si è unita a quella di mare questa settimana. More than 20,000 people demonstrated for electoral reforms across Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital, on Saturday in a rare protest that was declared illegal by police. The protest was called for by opposition groups, including the Coalition for Free and Fair Elections, Bersih. Police fired tear-gas and water cannons at demonstrators and arrested more than 1,400 people, including top opposition leaders, according to protest organisers. The activists' demands include an overhaul of voter registration lists, tougher measures to curb fraud and fairer opportunities for opposition politicians to campaign in government-linked media. Malaysia's next general election is planned due in 2013.

The joint struggle get second wind inspired by the Arab Spring both by the Palestinians and the Israelis. More and more people who were not in the anarchist scene join the anarchists against the wall initiative and other initiatives of joint struggle. More and more villages who were marginal the last few years in the struggle against the separation fence and occupation participating now frequently in the struggle. Within Israel, the Egyptian Tahrir motto crystallized in ferment in the Israeli young people who are not willing any more to pay the increasing price of the settler colonialist project. The regular locations of joint struggle within Israel: Al-Arakib, and Lod-Ramla; and Palestinian Beit Umar, Bilin, East Jerusalem, Ma'asara, Nabi Saleh, N'ilin, and South Hebron Mountain, were joined by this week by Budrus and Wallage. The first BDS call in Israel was initiated by Matzpen during the first year of the first intifada, in February 1988. It called for a boycott of the products of the colonialist settlements (see http://www.matzpen.org/index.asp?p=kria, in Hebrew). It played a marginal role in the political arena till the Peace Bloc (Gush Shalom) started to promote it (Do not confuse the radical, though sill marginally Zionist, "Gush Shalom" and the firmly left-Zionist "Peace Now", or Shalom Achshav). This prepared the background for the more radical call of international Jewry for "Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions", initiated by anti-authoritarians and anti-capitalists (and the anti-Zionist organization, Matzpen) and friends in 2001. Another stormy week of joint struggle was in the focus of the world media as the sailing flotilla was continuously sabotaged by Israel and other bribed states. The Flying Flotilla joined the sailing one this week. Questa settimana, abbiamo potuto sperimentare la strana sensazione che si prova quando un sogno si realizza. Una lotta durata 6 anni e 4 mesi ha costretto lo Stato di Israele a restituire quasi metà delle terre sottratte al villaggio di Bil'in per destinarle alla costruzione dell'insediamento coloniale di Modi'in Illit. La rimozione del vecchio muro della separazione nel corso della scorsa settimana ha attirato molti media internazionali ed israeliani. Per questa vittoria a Bil'in va evidenziato il contributo della lotta unitaria di palestinesi ed israeliani, lo stesso che si esprime nella promozione di lotte simili nella Cisgiordania occupata e che ha fatto di Bil'in un simbolo di fama mondiale. Le celebrazioni, le danze ed i sorrisi non possono occultare la memoria dei 2 compagni uccisi nel corso delle manifestazioni del venerdì e le centinaia di feriti (abitanti di Bil'in, internazionali ed israeliani di Anarchici Contro il Muro) senza dimenticare quelli salvati per un pelo ed i tanti che hanno perso la loro libertà e si trovano da un anno e mezzo nei campi di concentramento per i palestinesi.
