2 novembre, Causecommune.net - Le gouvernement français travaille actuellement à faire adopter une loi repoussant l’âge de la retraite de 60 à 62 ans. Celle-ci a déjà été adoptée par le Sénat et devrait être promulguée par le parlement le 15 novembre, si le gouvernement de Nicolas Sarkozy continue de tourner le dos au mouvement social qui a maintenant atteint une très grande ampleur. La journée interprofessionnelle de manifestations du 19 octobre a rassemblé 3,5 millions de manifestants et manifestantes. Par un grand nombre d’actions directes, les Français et Françaises ont su démontrer leur détermination afin de faire reculer le gouvernement. Piquets volants, sabotages, blocages, occupations de stations de radio, ralentissement du trafic par les routiers, grèves, saccages de permanences de l’UMP, du MEDEF et de mairies, actions de réquisitions et de redistributions, etc. read full story / add a comment

Like millions of others, I was absolutely delighted to see the trapped miners in the San José mine in Chile getting out alive from their stressful, claustrophobic confinement which they'd been in for almost 70 days as a result of negligence on the part of the mining companies. But let's not forget that 439 workers died in workplace accidents in this country in 2009, and where was the solidarity for them? Where were all the efforts to save them from their mines or from all the various workplaces they died in? For them there was only the indifferent gaze of the authorities or the criminal entrepreneurial class. 439 human beings with the same abilities, the same right to live, laugh and enjoy the good things of life as the 33 miners brought back from the dead. Como millones de otras personas, sentí una alegría enorme al ver que los mineros atrapados en la mina San José en Chile salieron con vida de su angustiante y clautrofóbico encierro, al que fueron condenados por casi 70 días gracias a la negligencia de los empresarios mineros. No pude sino emocionarme de ver que esta terrible historia de congoja y sufrimiento llegaba a un final feliz y que las lágrimas se trocaron en explosiones de carcajadas. Pero no nos olvidemos que en este país murieron 439 trabajadores el 2009 en diferentes accidentes laborales y con ellos no hay solidaridad. Porque a ellos sí que se los puede llevar la mina, o el camino, o el mar, o la obra, ante la mirada indiferente de las autoridades y de una casta empresarial criminal. 439 seres humanos que tienen el mismo talento, el mismo derecho a vivir, a reír, a gozar a plenitud de todo lo bueno de la vida que los 33 mineros que recientemente han vuelto a la vida.
