On the weekend of October 1st and 2nd a neo-nazi group calling itself the Hammer Skin Nation held it's annual music festival, Hammerfest at a little known restaurant and bar called the Georgia Peach. That same weekend the NAACP held a march in protest of the racist slogans that the owner of the Georgia peach, Patrick Lanzo, has been putting on the marquee outside of his bar. It is in the workers' interests to have a more pleasant working environment, more money to spend on our families, and more leisure time to enjoy it all. We can't have all this while slaving to increase the bosses' profits. In the early hours of May 19th Michael Alabi was deported by the Irish State. Michael was resident of a hostel in Lower Gardiner street and was part of a group of Nigerian men who decided to go on hunger strike to protest against the department of Justice's draconian immigration policies. read full story / add a comment
