In Istanbul, 2021 began with hundreds of students initiating a series of protests on the campus of Boǧaziçi University. They were demonstrating against President Recep Tayyip Erdoǧan’s January 1 appointment of a new rector via presidential decree. Melih Bulu, a business management Ph.D. and longtime Justice and Development Party (AKP) activist, was the first rector selected from outside the university since a military coup in 1980. Students chanted “Melih Bulu is not our rector” and “We don’t want a state-appointed rector.” (The song “Master of Puppets” could also be heard after Bulu gave an interview in which he claimed to be a regular guy who likes Metallica.) read full story / add a comment

L’état turc pénètre à nouveau sur un territoire qu’il occupe déjà en partie, avec l’excuse de le faire pour « protéger sa propre intégrité territoriale ». Les dirigeants de l’état n’ont pas eu honte de parler de paix, ils n’ont pas eu honte d’appeler paix cette guerre qu’ils mènent pour leurs propres intérêts. Dans l’opération militaire appelée « source de paix », des avions ont immédiatement effectué des bombardements massifs, qui ont aussi affecté les populations civiles. Toutes ces opérations ont commencé au vu et au su des etats et de l’opinion publique internationale qui prétendent « condamner » l’état turc.

The Turkish State decided to re-enter a territory that it already partly occupies, with the excuse of “protecting its own territorial integrity” . The heads of the state were not ashamed to talk about peace, nor they were ashamed to name the war that they lead for their own interests, as peace. In the war operation called “Peace Spring” warplanes, especially non-discriminating air strikes were put into operation immediately. All of this has started to take place before the eyes of the states and public opinion allegedly “condemning” the Turkish State.

Δύο νεκροί και δύο τραυματίες είναι ο απολογισμός εργατικού δυστυχήματος που σημειώθηκε το πρωί της Τρίτης στο δίκτυο του Βιολογικού καθαρισμού, κοντά στην πλατεία Πηγών, στη Σκάλα Λακωνίας. Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, νεκρός είναι ένας 51χρονος εργάτης υπήκοος Βουλγαρίας, ο οποίος εκτελούσε εργασίες καθαρισμού σε αποχετευτικό δίκτυο βιολογικού καθαρισμού, καθώς και ένας 37χρονος (εργαζόμενος σε κοντινό κατάστημα), που έσπευσε να βοηθήσει τον 51χρονο, όταν έχασε τις αισθήσεις του.
Παράλληλα, σε κρίσιμη κατάσταση νοσηλεύεται ΜΕΘ του Θριάσιου Νοσοκομείου Ελευσίνας, ο ένας εκ των δύο τραυματιών. Πρόκειται για έναν 22χρονο, ο οποίος διακομίσθηκε στο νοσοκομείο Σπάρτης σε κωματώδη κατάσταση, με οξεία αναπνευστική ανεπάρκεια. Σύμφωνα με τον διοικητή του νοσοκομείου Σωτήρη Μπότσιο, ο 22χρονος διασωληνώθηκε άμεσα και οι γιατροί κατέβαλλαν προσπάθειες, για την αναρρόφηση υγρών από τους πνεύμονες. Ο δεύτερος τραυματίας που είναι 66χρόνων, διακομίσθηκε στο νοσοκομείο με μέτρια αναπνευστική ανεπάρκεια και η κατάσταση της υγείας του κρίνεται από τους γιατρούς σταθερή και ικανοποιητική. read full story / add a comment

Οι μετανάστες/ριες που είχαν εγκλωβιστεί δέχθηκαν την μανία των ΜΑΤ που εισέβαλαν ακόμα και στο εσωτερικό των κοντέινερ ξυλοκοπώντας αδιακρίτως όποιους έβρισκαν μπροστά τους και συλλαμβάνοντας εν τέλει 35 άτομα στο σωρό, με μοναδικό κριτήριο το χρώμα του δέρματος, αφού είχαν στοχοποιηθεί αφρικανοί μετανάστες. Πολύ μετανάστες είναι χτυπημένοι, ενώ μεταξύ τους υπάρχουν τραυματίες από ευθείες βολές δακρυγόνων, με έναν μετανάστη να φέρει τραύμα στο στήθος και ακόμα έναν στο πόδι. Όλοι οι συλληφθέντες οδηγήθηκαν στη Γενική Αστυνομική Διεύθυνση Λέσβου όπου κρατήθηκαν και σύμφωνα με τις καταγγελίες τους συνέχισαν να δέχονται χτυπήματα από τους μπάτσους. Ενώ οι περισσότεροι ήταν τραυματισμένοι, μόνο ένας από αυτούς οδηγήθηκε στο νοσοκομείο Μυτιλήνης όπου και κρίθηκε αναγκαία η νοσηλεία του. read full story / add a comment
