On 2 January 2018, the Transport Workers Union (SUTCRA) realized a strike to advance pressure for concrete gains before the Wage Council. During the strike, a “scab” got in between our comrade Marcelo Silvera and his family with a result that is now known to everyone - our comrade was assassinated by the “scab”, hitman, or gunmen at the service of the management.

This article explains the problems that the ethnic minorities are facing and who is their common enemy. This article particularly concentrates on Kurdish diaspora who lives in Europe, US and other countries; it provides evidence that the Kurdish diaspora faces the same problems as the native people in the host country. Despite being facing the same problems or sometimes even more so, but they still do not involve themselves in the local and national campaigns.
The article points at the reasons that may contribute to the cause of not involving the campaigns. read full story / add a comment
On 14th October 2017, Rally for Choice will march through the streets of Belfast. - Last year saw us counter protest the Rally for Life in the North of Ireland, for the first time we marched against their lies instead of our usual static demo. Our counter protest was a huge success, despite being organised at short notice and with only a handful of activists. The protest burst across our streets and convened at Buoy Park afterwards for speakers. We outnumbered the Rally for Life 2016 significantly. read full story / add a comment

iberia / repression / prisoners / press release Wednesday October 04, 2017 00:00 bySeveral Organisations
The unions and social organisations who support this manifest fully share the motives who are at the start of the call for a General Strike in Catalonia : the continuous loss of rights for the working class and the repressive situation with more than 800 wounded people, some of them in heavy states and more than 40 arrests from different State police corps. A loss of social and labor rights that can’t be tolerated. read full story / add a comment
At a juncture of structural crisis, in Spain, there are more and more Catalans who no longer want to be part of this state: today, a country ruled by a corrupt party (The Partido Popular or PP), with a government and a deep state that has not broken with Francoism, of which the monarchy is the faithful representation of this continuity; and this would be added to urbanistic ballots, bank bailouts, austerity policies, high unemployment rates and a lack of guarantees and opportunities. All this is the image and reality of the so-called Regime of ’78; a political framework marked by a pact of silence so that the crimes of the Franco regime did not come to light and were never prosecuted. The remains of Franco were never cleared from the state institutions. It was the time called “Transition” to a democracy that never came and a Constitution that many people have not voted for. Some because we opposed at the time the political reform of Franco, and others because of a mere question of age, since it has been four decades since then.

We entered a decisive week for the future development of the so-called "Catalan conflict". This Sunday will be the referendum called by the Generalitat, with a more or less plausible and guarantor result depending on the repression that the Spanish government decides against. We have been through weeks of tension, in which the massiveness and social rooting of Catalan protest, as well as the overtly authoritarian and repressive drift of the Spanish State, have become evident.

Palestine-Israel, The Israeli army returned to the joint struggle after its failure to put end to the weekly demonstrations by its absence
mashriq / arabia / iraq / indigenous struggles / news report Thursday August 24, 2017 18:29 byIlan S.
Bil'in, the symbol of the popular joint struggle of Palestinians, Israelis (with the anarchists against the wall initiative), and internationals, was a site of a year long experiment. The new war minister of Israel tried to extinguish the joint Friday demos by "neglect". The harassments during the demos diminished (first end to the shooting and later refraining from confronting the demos) but the night invasion to harass the village continued. The number of participants diminished gradually but continued. The fact that Bil'in was the only place Palestine could demonstrate without restriction was unbearable... The experiment ended. The Israeli state force is back in the confronting of demos and the shooting of tear gas resumed. read full story / add a comment
