The struggle of the Bedouins within Israel against the mass transfer since the 1948 war expand to the whole of Israel and even to the areas conquered in the 1967. In addition to the regular locations of joint struggle in the 1967 areas: Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Ma'asarah, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum, Sheikh Jarah, and South of Hebron hills the Bedouins struggle drew more and more activists of the anarchists against the wall. The Arakib village struggle expand immensely with the Praver plan as the focus. Preparations for the August one actions are in vigor. The frantic efforts of the Israeli authorities to advance the transfer of Palestinians both within the 1948 borders and the 1967 ones is interwoven withe realization that the tide is changing. The rhetorics of the rightists and their harsh activities seems to be a kind of religious ritual intending to counter the contradicting reality. The joint struggle continue both with farmers of the south of the west bank to resist the settler colonialists harassments and the popular comities contesting the separation fence and occupation. Bedouins in Israel south, farmers in the west bank, Bil'in, Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, Qaddum, Sheikh Jarah. Another activist with the anarchists against the wall had a metal bullet coated with rubber extracted from her foot after shot from illegally short range while video documenting. The social struggle within Israel continued in a decrease intensity. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

Though many comrades have lost their enthusiasm along the years and some dropped out entirely or emigrated, the struggle continues - both in the struggle for social justice and the joint struggle against the occupation and the transfer pressures within Israel. The mounting world pressure, energized by the local struggles, seems to be increasing qualitatively as are the fear of them by the Israeli elite. The most interesting news in this weekend's articles and editorial of the daily newspaper Haaretz: "...Contrary to Bennett's statements, sources in Jerusalem say the threat of European boycotts on Israel is real". Excerpt: "... a large number of those investment committees [of the banking system] considered recommending to the banks to prohibit loans or aid of any kind to Israeli companies that operate in the West Bank − manufacturing there, selling their products, building homes and so forth − and also to Israeli banks that grant mortgages to home builders or buyers across the Green Line. While the popular non-armed struggle of the Palestinians of the occupied West Bank is provoked again and again in the C areas, the PSCC are still sporadic. The persistent joint struggles are still restricted to Bil'in, Ma'sara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'lin, Qaddum, and Sheikh Jarrah, but from time to time the Israeli Anarchists Against the Wall activists are invited to old locations of joint struggles and to new ones. The state repression is inconsistent, with often unpredicted relative passivity of state forces interwoven with harsh eruptions. Meanwhile in Israel the social struggle is starting to collect momentum with hotter discussions about the international pressure on one side and the one-state solution/danger on the other. In spite of increasing worldwide political and economic (B.D.S) pressure, the Israeli State is increasing its efforts to transfer Palestinians - both within the 1948 borders and the 1967 ones. The efforts to transfer Palestinians from area C of the West Bank is being done with the help of the colonialist settler terror and to the State's efforts, though Israeli activists join the Palestinians to resist or even sabotage. The Israeli media are reporting again and again on the third Intifada that is gradually intensifying, and on the warning by generals that the present refusal of the State to yield is dangerous. The social ferment and buds of struggle are not ceding to the drums of war. In the popular weekend struggles in Bil'in, Ni'lin, Nabi Saleh, and Qaddum, the State forces' repression is not consistent. Sometimes the repression is milder and sometimes it is harsher but we still cannot decipher the pattern. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

On February 1968 The antiauthoritarian anticapitalist Matzpen initiated in Jerusalem the first (18 strong) vigil again 1967 occupation. Two years later, the Israeli Black Panthers activist who were in intimate contact with Matzpen members (mostly in Jerusalem) initiated the first social struggle of immigrants from eastern countries. Many of the present social struggle activists regards themselves as successors of the Panthers - many others were in association with or participated in the joint struggle of the anarchists against the wall. The 2013 wave is still much smaller than the 2011 wave of struggle but is more radical and confrontational. The joint popular struggle in the occupied Palestinian west bank is still fluctuating - mainly because the holding back of the Palestinian authority. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

The people who see the turmoil in the region are losing their patience but we are still far from a general uprising both in the Israeli social struggle and in the occupied West Bank. The Israeli State increases its threats against activists on both sides and is contemplating in public to enhance its shooting policy qualitatively. Meanwhile, targeting the young kids they have started to arrest 7/8-year-olds too. The third intifada is gradually escalating from non-violent struggle to still unarmed but a stone-throwing one. The kids are throwing back tear gas canisters and the state forces often get to taste their own medicine. In Israel, the activists in the social struggle are not yet many, but the marching is not just a parade any more and the homes of the relevant ministers get frequent visits. It is still not sure if the masses will participate again as they did two years ago, but it may come sooner than later as the austerity measures are already being felt. This is just the beginning, the struggle is going on.
Revolt is out of time and space. For about 40 hours from Istiklal to Harbiye, from Tarlabasi to Besiktas the freedom of a rebellion is being felt. We come in to Taksim Square from Istiklal, after forty hours of clashes. Law enforcement officers run away with all their vehicles. Forty hours, forty years, the square has been a world for us.
This was the freedom of rebellion, maybe the most frightening slogan was that, this is just the beginning the struggle is going on.
Yes, our struggle is going on till we grow our free world, which we carry in our hearts. read full story / add a comment

The joint struggle started against the separation fence and its specific route which used to robe lands of villages and even to transfer them. The struggles brought some partial victories and promoted the joint struggle of Israeli activists, Palestinian grass root committees and internationals. The local, and more so the international awareness to the struggle against the occupation and the persistent efforts of transfer by Israel succeeded to slow the transfer but had not put end to it... nor to the occupation. The present focus of the joint struggle now is on the efforts to curb the gradual transfer efforts within Israel, area C in the occupied west bank, and the East of Jerusalem, and the international B.D.S. - Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions. Already 65 years since the Nakba and I still remember Deir Yassin and other bits of memories from 9 years before it. It took me too many years to put all of them together and overcome the Zionist and its national socialist (Marxist) brainwashing. For the last 47 years I've enjoyed freedom from Erich Fromm's "Escape From Freedom" and have tried to have the path opened for others. Participation in the joint struggle along with the popular committees is the best road to freedom for Israelis. Thanks to the Palestinian activists of Bil'in, Ni'lin, Ma'sara, Beit Ummar, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum and other villages who participate from time to time, with a special thanks to Mas'ha scene of the joint camp that started the joint popular non-armed struggle. The transfer pressure in area C and the 1948 borders Negev intensifies. The colonialist settlers increase their terror, backed by the Israeli state forces. The increased popular struggle intensifies too and rightist calls for harsher repression are becoming louder. Not all those involved with the grassroots popular struggles are happy with the joint struggle together with Israelis, preferring to do without the relative immunity from harsher repression that we provide, and without our contribution for world public opinion. The ferment in the region has already decided that things will not be the same, but only popular struggle and international pressure will channel the changes to the better. Public Tev-Dem meeting in Qamishli to discuss attacks by al-Nusra imageThe experiment of West Kurdistan (Syrian Kurdistan) has proved that people can make changes 16:21 Sun 24 Aug by Zaher Baher 0 comments

What you read below is the experience of my visit, for a couple of weeks in May this year, 2014, to North East of Syria or Syrian Kurdistan (West of Kurdistan) with a close friend of mine. Throughout the visit we had the total freedom and opportunity to see and speak to whoever we wanted to. This includes women, men, youth, and the political parties. There are over 20 parties from Kurdish to Christian, of which some are in the Democratic Self Administration (DSA) or Democratic Self Management (DSM) of the region of Al Jazera. Al Jazera is one of three regions, (cantons) of West Kurdistan. We also met the Kurdish and Christian political parties who are not in the DSA or DSM. In addition, we met the top people from the Democratic Self Administration (DSM), members of the different committees, local groups and communes as well as businesspeople, shopkeepers, workers, people in the market and people who were just walking in the street.

The war Israel started with the Hamas was intended to keep it weaker but independent of the west bank authority. A month and a half and Israel cannot stop the Hamas firing of rockets on Israel. The Hamas raised its demand about the lifting of the siege (closer) and the Israeli prime minister failed go get the support of his coalition for the needed compromise. To diminish the losses and to save face Israel with US backing are passing the decision to the UN security council the Israeli ruling elite evaded successfully so many years. The mounting economic pressures create cracks in the Israeli ruling elite and even the populist coalition party head - the foreign minister, start to promote the end of the 1967 occupation. This is as complete a story about what happened to 'Migrant X' that we are aware of.  Migrant X is a young migrant women who it emerged was refused an abortion by the Irish state despite apparently meeting the grounds of the X-case legislation and instead forced to carry the pregnancy and agree to a C-section.  The pregnanacy itself was the result of rape, Migrant X attempted suicide after being refused the abortion and later went on a hunger and thirst strike.  Once what had happened to her became known there were sizeable pro-choice solidarity demonstrations called across Ireland and at Irish embassies overseas.   We have been given information that the migrant woman at the centre of the current forced pregnancy was 'committed' to a psychiatric hospital following her initial request for termination. It’s already known that the initial request was made when she was 8 weeks pregnant.  It was this crucial period in which she was being held incommunicado which led directly to the Caesarian option being possible to impose as an ‘alternative’ to allowing her to access the abortion she had asked for.

Multiple witnesses told KMOV that Brown was unarmed and had his hands up in the air when he was cut down. “The officer shot again and once my friend felt that shot, he turned around and put his hands in the air,” said witness Dorian Johnson. “He started to get down and the officer still approached with his weapon drawn and fired several more shots.” The family and the community are calling his death an execution.

Israel started the attack on the Hamas to sabotage the Hamas compromise with the west bank authority, and restore a weakened Hamas independent rule in the Gaza strip. Hamas compromise was a response to Egyptian closer intended to dismantle the Hamas. The failed Israeli attack will force it to contribute its share to significantly open the closer of the border between Israel and the Gaza strip which was till the attack based on the bare minimal on the margin of humanitarian catastrophe. Whatever the details of the new cease fire and arrangements, the failure of Israel vicious assault to stop the Hamas from firing rockets on Israel is a significant "game changer". The failed attack on Gaza and the continuing popular struggle in the west bank are hastening the international pressures to end the occupation of the West bank and the closer of the Gaza strip.

textPalestine-Israel, The joint struggle in turbulent times* 21:09 Sun 03 Aug by Ilan S. 0 comments

The joint struggles in the locations of regular weekly activities of Bil'in, Ni'lin, Ma'sara, Sheikh Jarrah, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum, Western Hills of Hebron, in the weekend actions and some in between, have focused on the war on Gaza as the more obvious aspect of the occupation. Today, it seems Israel has failed to establish a weakened but independent power in the Gaza Strip - mainly because the atrocities by Israel have failed to recruit international pressure on Egypt to open the siege of Gaza enough. It seems there will be a revival of the accord between Hamas and the West Bank Palestinian Authority that Israel has invested so much effort into sabotaging. It is not clear yet what the the details will be and how the latest Israeli atrocities will influence pressure from the imperial powers on Israel to end the 1967 occupation. Latest news: Israel has started to retreat its forces from the Gaza Strip with no resolution and with rockets still being fired on Israel. [Italiano]

The BRICS alliance — a bloc of countries formed by the meetings of their leaders and without any formal documentation — has once again caught the world’s attention for trying a new hand in global power politics. The premise of the relationship between Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa is based on the economy and the potential of sharing a common destination point. Culturally, Brazil is most similar to post-Apartheid South Africa, and proportionally we carry a similar weight to Latin America, as does South Africa to sub-saharan Africa.

The Iraq crisis has been continued for decades while it has been under the power of Saddam Hussein or under the “current democratic Regime” since the invasion of 2003. There were no freedom, no social justice; no equality and also little opportunity for those who were independent from the political parties who were in power. In addition to existing brutality and discrimination against women and the ordinary people a very big gap was created between the rich and poor, making the poor even poorer and the rich richer.
