Capitalism as a system has developed since the late Middle Ages and was established in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in Western Europe. It constituted itself as an economic, political and social system, basing itself on the relations between two antagonistic classes. On one hand, that which is called the “bourgeoisie” and which we will treat in this text as “capitalists”, holders of private ownership of the means of production, who contract workers by means of wage-labour. On the other, that which is called the “proletariat”, and which we will treat in this text as “workers” who, possessing nothing more than their labour power, have to sell it in exchange for a wage. As we emphasised earlier, the wage-labourer – classic object of analysis in the socialist theses of the nineteenth century – for us, constitutes today only one of the categories of the exploited classes. read full story / add a comment

Anarchism is, for us, an ideology; this being a set of ideas, motivations, aspirations, values, a structure or system of concepts that has a direct connection with action – that which we call political practice.

The last three days saw 9 demonstrations supported by the AATW. Beit Ummar marked the Anniversary of Yousef Ikhlayl’s murder on 31 January 2011. In Bil'in the organizers are preparing for the 7th anniversary of their continuous struggle. In Ma'sara the demonstrations continue into their 5th year. Nabi Salih was invaded by large numbers of army and border police. They shot tear gas and rubber bullets for hours. Ni'lin held a large and spirited demonstration, forced open the large metal gate in the wall and got past the tall concrete wall. Kafr ad-Dik and Kafr Qaddum in the Salfit and Nablus area continue to have very large numbers of people from the villages. The army has been arresting many young men and youths during the last months but the demonstrations continue. In Qaryut, a village of 3,800 people, about 400 men marched out to the roadblock which prevents their access to the main road. In al-Walaja the demonstrators marched down to the site of construction of the wall that will surround their village. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

Day in and day out, year in and year out, the creeping transfer of the Israeli settler colonialism continue - both in the Israeli south where lot of Bedouin Palestinians citizens are transfered and concentrated to small locations and most of their lands confiscated. Similarly happen to Bedouins in the occupied west bank and even to villagers in area C the Israeli state caveat. Some Israeli steps against specific settler colonialist outposts forced on it by the courts mascaraed of "justice" is balanced by settlers terrorist revenging Palestinians and demolition of Palestinian houses by the state forces. The struggle against the demolition of the last tent camps of the social struggle initiated escalation of the activities of the core activists even before the coming spring. To vent their anger, to embarrass the Israeli state, and to expand their land grab, the settler colonialist militants respond to any excuse - whether from Palestinians or the state of Israel, by increased harassment on the Palestinians. To sweeten the symbolic destruction of illegal colonialist settler outposts Israeli state have to do to pretend being a law biding Israeli state "balance it by destruction of "unlawful" Palestinian houses, and roads. The joint struggle try to curb both the settlers and the Israeli state increased harassments. The persistent struggle focus on Arkib (Israeli Bedouins), Beit Ommar, Bil'in, A-Dic, Kufr Qaddum, East Jerusalem-AlKuds (A-Tur, Issawiya, Sheikh Jarrakh), Al-Ma’sara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'lin, Wallage. The winter cold has not frozen the joint struggle against the occupation and settler colonialist encroachment. The struggle in Beit Ummar, Bil'in, East Jerusalem, Kafr Ad-Dik, Ma'sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, Kafr Qaddum, South Hebron hills, Walaja... The world Spring uprising did not perish with the coming of the winter cold, nor even hibernate... it just went into a lower gear. After getting over the cold shock of mid-winter, spring buds are starting to develop and the swallows start to fly. In our region there are some signs in the occupied Palestine regions and more so in Israel. The destruction of the last main tent camp of Tel Aviv Hatikva ignited the social struggle movement pre-spring wave of struggle. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

Though the winter here is very mild, with most days sunny and not so cold, the political weather is stormy. The colonial settler attacks on Palestinian villagers as punishment for the restriction of settlers by the Israeli authorities are interwoven with the joint struggles, mainly in the villages' persistent "Tsumud" resistance against creeping encroachment onto their lands and the transfer. In addition to the hot struggle in Nabi Salih and the intermittent one in Walaja, there are the Kafr Qaddum and Kafr Ad-Dik which joined lately, and the long-term ones of Beit Ummar, Bil'in, al-Ma'sara, Ni'lin, Sheikh Jarrah (Jerusalem/al-Quds), and the South Hebron Hills. And of course, though in a toned-down measure, the social justice "Occupy Rothschild" struggle continues, focusing on the resistance against destruction of the few remaining tent camps. Some time the persistence (Tsumud) is the main aspect of the struggle against the mighty enemies. Some times, small successes improve the feelings of the involved. Such seems to be the joining of the Qadum village to the list of joint struggle of local popular struggle activists and the Israeli anarchists against the wall. During the years we were invited and participated there in activities but only lately it ripened to the level of Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Ma'asarah, Beit Ummar, Sheikh Jarrah, and Nabi Saleh. The expansion of the joint struggle start to light red lamps on the Israeli dash board and the anarchists are mentioned more and more as an enemy that needs a harsh treatment... even if it will damage the farcical/phoney image of Israeli democracy. The political arena in Palestine occupied by Israel and in Israel itself has not gone into winter hibernation. The Arab Spring seems to continue throughout the summer, autumn, and even winter. Hamas, who supported the non-violent joint popular struggle in Bil'in from the beginning in spite of extreme fundamentalist objections to it, have now adopted the non-violent popular struggle as the main strategy. Israeli escalation of repression of this and the joint struggle is expected. In spite of the uncertainty we continued another week of joint struggle: Beit Ummar, Bil'in, East Jerusalem/Al-Quds (Silwan,Shu'fat,Sheikh Jarrah), Al-Ma’sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, Kafr a-Dik, Kafr Qaddum, Qalandiya, South Of Hebron Hills. Within Israel the social justice struggle continues in localized struggles with a moving focus. The air is vibrating with the expectancy of a dramatic eruption. This week we added the mourning of Mustafa Tamimi to the ongoing joint struggle. There was a special recruitment of activists to Nabi Saleh with around of 100 Israelis in addition to Palestinians activists of the region who joined the hundreds of Nabi Saleh villagers. The conflicts with the Israeli state forces was more than usual and was included action in the entrance of the adjacent colonialist settlement who rob Nabi Saleh lands and springs. The Bil'in struggle continue week after week and in addition to being a symbol for the struggle against the separation fence, robbery of lands by settler colonialists and the occupation, it is also a focus of defamation of our struggle by the Israeli Prime minister and his servants. The Israeli courts system that usually serve whole heartedly the transfer of Palestinian had a glitch when a judge refused to evict Palestinians from two hoses in occupied East Jerusalem. read full story / add a comment

About 20 Palestinian people involved in the joint struggle were already murdered by the Israeli state forces. Due to differential orders about shooting Israeli participants, till now no Israeli activist was murdered, though few were operated in hospitals after being shot, two lost part of their sight, and three suffered brain damage. Last Friday, Mustafa Tamimi of Nabi Saleh was murdered during the weekly demonstration by direct fire from few meter distance from an armored car. His head was seriously injured and hours of operations failed to save his life. Few thousands participated in the procession in Ramalla and about thousand came to his burial in Nabi Saleh. Dozens activists of the anarchists against the wall who knew Mustafa from the Friday demonstrations were among the about 50 Israelis who came to pay the last honer to Mustafa. read full story / add a comment

Throughout the Zionist settler colonialist project in Palestine from time to time there have been waves of onslaught and, in between, periods of persistent pressure for expanding the areas colonized and transferring Palestinians from their lands... and persistent resistance (Tsumud) by the Palestinians. The last few weeks have been an in-between wave period of persistent pressure by Israel and persistent resistance (Tsumud) by the Palestinians. The joint struggle of the activists of the Anarchists Against the Wall initiative with the grassroots Palestinian activists over the last 8 years is part of the persistent resistance. The main focuses of resistance are still Araqeeb and the Bedouins (in Israel mainly), Beit Ummar, Bil'in, Ma'sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, occupied East Jerusalem (Silwan and Sheikh Jarrah), Kafr Qaddum, South Hebron hills, Walaja. read full story / add a comment

Because of internal considerations, in parallel with the demolition of a minimal part of illegal settler colonialist buildings on private Palestinian lands, the demolition of Palestinian houses increases. Part of it is the confrontations of the joint struggle in the hills south of the Hebron region. Another part was this week's demolition of Bil'in outposts in the returned lands adjacent to the new route of the separation wall. Miraculously the older one, built nearly 7 years ago at the beginning of the struggle under cover of heavy rain, survived till this week. During the first few months we often spent nights near the fire at the adjacent shade - with members of the village committee, in order to protect the outpost from being destroyed by Israeli State forces. The usual weekend struggle continued - including the flag bearers, Beit Ummar, Bil,in, Ma'sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, and occupied East Jerusalem. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

Occupy Wall Street has taken the nation by storm. It has spread to nearly every major metropolitan area in the country, attracting hundreds of thousands to its confrontational, directly democratic structure. Since its inception earlier this year, protests have steadily become more militant – beginning with the occupations of public parks, and moving on to attempted general strikes and direct attacks on the banks. read full story / add a comment
