The failure so far of the political efforts by the Palestinian Authority to bring substantial results may increase the accumulation of frustration to the point that it may explode. The initial increase of non-armed local struggles is approaching explosion point in spite of the call by the Palestinian Authority to limit the struggle to the international political arena. In addition to the locations of the ongoing struggles, other locations are initiating such struggles. Beit Nuba and al-Mufakara are just two examples. The intensification of harassment up to the use of live ammunition during weekday raids in Ni'lin and Nabi Saleh may be part of other harassment by the Israeli state forces, whose escalation seems to ber aimed at initiating a Third Intifada. After the mainly political defeat of Israel in the attack on Gaza and the following defeat in the US, the Israeli state forces repression of the weekly demonstrations was met with restraining orders. It was expressed in a few cases of small units of soldiers escaping from stone-throwing youth - the video of the most pictorial one played again and again on Israeli TV channels. Rightist "talking heads" complained that the fleeing soldiers insulted Israel and harsher measures must be taken. The more realistic ones pointed to the international loss of respect for Israel that harmed protesters would aggravate. In addition to the usual Beit Ummar, Bil'in, Al-Ma'sara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'lin, Qaddum, South Hebron hills, and Sheikh Jarrah, there was the addition this week of Kufr ad-Dik and Krayut. After years of persistent struggle the first cracks emit a more pleasant melody. The pains of the fallen, the injured, and these suffering more than others is softened a bit by the defeat of Israel in Gaza and the UN. It seems that the Tsumud, the resistance and the popular unarmed struggle start to change the flow of things in the international arena. We see it again and again that when the scales are in balance, even a small group of activists who persist in struggle can tip the scales. The joint struggle contribute its share in obstructing the efforts of the Israeli establishment to equate the struggle against Israel with antisemitism. The joint struggle even seems to collect momentum and more locations of popular and joint unarmed struggles are increasing. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

In addition joint demos and actions in Bil'in, Beit Ummar, Ma'sara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, Qaddum, South Hebron Hills, and Sheikh Jarrah, there were actions of the higher committee of the local grass root communities and other localities - both in the occupied West Bank and within Israel with the war in Gaza as focus. The long struggle against the settler colonialist Zionist project was reviewed in the conference commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Israeli anti-authoritarian, anti-capitalist Matzpen, whose heirs are the Anarchists Against the Wall. In it comrades stressed again the difference between the struggles against aspects of the Zionist project like military rule imposed on the Palestinians in the past within Israel and now in the 1967 occupied regions, and partial gains in it, and real solution only the social revolution in the whole region will bring. read full story / add a comment

Unexpected visitors came Sunday early morning to visit activists of the anarchists against the wall and others with a "present": It is not everyday I get a wake up call from the police. Without warrant, they entered our home and handed over four bits of paper each with a map showing one of the villages of Bil'in, Kfur Qaddum, Nil'in and An Nabi Salih. They explained that until mid-March 2013 I cannot go on Fridays to any of these villages. They recorded the whole thing and insisted on signing receipt. It took time to understand it was not a legal personal restriction order, but a bogus act of intimidation which have no legal meaning. As it was the initiative of the regional commander of the center of the occupied was bank I joked that may be he want us to shift the focus of our weekend joint actions to the southern region of Southern Hebron Hills, Ma'asara, and beit Ommar. We just received announcement from Beit Ommar on the last developments in their town and region. The group of the activists in Beit Ommar was enlarged, and a regional comity of South Hill of Hebron activists was formally established. Last Weekend, after the Holiday, all the regular struggles were resumed, and many details are included in this report. Beit Ommar, Bil'in, Ma'sara, Nabi Saleh, Nilin, Qaddom, South of Hebron Hills and Sheikh Jarah too.... After eight years of continuous activity against the separation fences and walls & occupation in the west bank, and sporadic activities within Israel (including within the spectrum of social justice). After sporadic discussions about our activities and organization, the anarchists against the wall meeting of activists decided last month on weekly meetings to promote the cohesion of the group and our activities within Israel. read full story / add a comment

The joint struggle in Bil'in have never stopped for the last seven years and eight months. It inspired the persistent struggles in Ni'ilin, Ma'asara, Beit Ummar, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum, and Sheikh Jarrah. Activists of the persistent locals inspired and helped the struggles in additional communities. It was "upgraded" when the higher level comity of the struggling local communities was organized. In addition to support of the local struggles it was also expressed in joint actions like this of the previous week at the 443 high way to Jerusalem which pass through the occupied west bank of Palestine and this week at the Beniamin compound against the settler colonialist Rami levi supermarket. This week end the activities were minimal because of the Eid Al Adha holiday, but not canceled. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

The struggles the anarchists against the wall were never restricted to joint local struggles against the separation fence (Masha, Zabuba, Budrus, Bidu, Bil'in, etc. Nor to other local struggles against the occupations (Beit Omar, Nabi Saleh, Quadum, 443 high way, etc. Nor even restricted to the joint actions together with Palestinian partners. We joined along the years direct actions: of social struggles, of refugees and guest workers, and even activities for the Gheto Gaza people (the last one was solidarity vigils and jail/court solidarity with the crew of Saturday captured ship which tried to overcome the siege of Gaza. To overcome the effects of widely dispersed activities on activists community feelings a weekly meetings were initiated. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

The social struggle with in Israel fragmented. Some of the leading activists used the focusing of media on them for jumping on the election wagon. Only minority choose the non parliamentary road. Very few of the activist were educated by their struggle to adopt anti capitalist anti authoritarian road for social struggle. In the occupied territories lot of stress as the settler colonialists get more cooperation by state forces in are C but the threat of the collapse/disintegration of the Palestinian authority force Israel to make concessions no previous struggle and pressure brought about. The joint struggle of the anarchists against the wall has a diminishing momentum but we still go on. The separation fence is no more at the center of attention - both in the efforts of the Israeli state which is using more brutal means for the transfer of the Palestinians from rural areas, and among the Palestinian public which is focused around the survival of the Palestinian authority in the West Bank. The danger of the collapse of the PA has forced Israel to allow more Palestinian workers to enter Israel - half of them with official permits. It also provided some monetary help too. However the efforts to clear rural areas with the help of colonialist settler paramilitaries and terrorists has increased the joint struggles against it - mainly in the South Hebron Mountains. The joint struggle in Beit Ummar, Nabi Saleh against the state helped encrouchments by colonial settlers and Qaddum are still worrying the occupation managers who have gradually escalated the efforts to crush them. The ferment and anger increase in the general population of the occupied west bank and Gaza. The already two weeks daily evening stone throwing of the Shabab of Qalandia at the Israeli check post. The economic ferment of unemployed in the west bank forced Israel to admit economic support in fear of the collapse of the Palestinian authority. The more than 50 thousands of Palestinians working daily in Israel are part of this economic compromises. However, the Israeli efforts to transfer out farmers from the agrarian areas of C category intensify with the unofficially help of the settlers. The involvement of the Israeli activists in Nabi Saleh, Beit Ummar and South of Hebron Hills area are the most damaging to this project and the pogrom at Anata-Anatot where state forces personnel who live there participated with immunity was a clear message to the Israeli activists. When the world media is focused on the war mongering of israel directed to Iran, the naZionist settler colonialists efforts directed towards the Palestinian farmers in area C intensify. More suppression efforts are directed to Nabi Saleh and Qaddum who are in the front of the resistance. Other confrontations are a plenty in the South of Hebron Hills where the colonialist settlers are the main attackers and the state forces "only" help them. Lot of house demolitions are a daily phenomena. Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Ma'asara who started the persistent non armed popular struggle against the separation fence and occupation floated to the margin of both suppression and media reporting. The sporadic vigils within Israel and more so in Tel Aviv seems to be on the margin of attention only. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

sorrymigrantx.jpg imageIreland - Migrant X refused an abortion and forced to have a C-section 22:31 Thu 21 Aug by Andrew 0 comments

This is as complete a story about what happened to 'Migrant X' that we are aware of.  Migrant X is a young migrant women who it emerged was refused an abortion by the Irish state despite apparently meeting the grounds of the X-case legislation and instead forced to carry the pregnancy and agree to a C-section.  The pregnanacy itself was the result of rape, Migrant X attempted suicide after being refused the abortion and later went on a hunger and thirst strike.  Once what had happened to her became known there were sizeable pro-choice solidarity demonstrations called across Ireland and at Irish embassies overseas.   We have been given information that the migrant woman at the centre of the current forced pregnancy was 'committed' to a psychiatric hospital following her initial request for termination. It’s already known that the initial request was made when she was 8 weeks pregnant.  It was this crucial period in which she was being held incommunicado which led directly to the Caesarian option being possible to impose as an ‘alternative’ to allowing her to access the abortion she had asked for.

Saturday August 9th, a racist Ferguson police officer profiled and fatally shot a black teenager, Michael Brown, as he walked to his grandmother’s residence with a friend. He was 18 years old. Multiple witnesses told KMOV that Brown was unarmed and had his hands up in the air when he was cut down. “The officer shot again and once my friend felt that shot, he turned around and put his hands in the air,” said witness Dorian Johnson. “He started to get down and the officer still approached with his weapon drawn and fired several more shots.” The family and the community are calling his death an execution.

textPalestine-Israel, Israel attack on Gaza ending with a defeat of its arrogant power show* 19:34 Tue 12 Aug by Ilan S. 0 comments

Israel started the attack on the Hamas to sabotage the Hamas compromise with the west bank authority, and restore a weakened Hamas independent rule in the Gaza strip. Hamas compromise was a response to Egyptian closer intended to dismantle the Hamas. The failed Israeli attack will force it to contribute its share to significantly open the closer of the border between Israel and the Gaza strip which was till the attack based on the bare minimal on the margin of humanitarian catastrophe. Whatever the details of the new cease fire and arrangements, the failure of Israel vicious assault to stop the Hamas from firing rockets on Israel is a significant "game changer". The failed attack on Gaza and the continuing popular struggle in the west bank are hastening the international pressures to end the occupation of the West bank and the closer of the Gaza strip.

textPalestine-Israel, The joint struggle in turbulent times* 21:09 Sun 03 Aug by Ilan S. 0 comments

The joint struggles in the locations of regular weekly activities of Bil'in, Ni'lin, Ma'sara, Sheikh Jarrah, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum, Western Hills of Hebron, in the weekend actions and some in between, have focused on the war on Gaza as the more obvious aspect of the occupation. Today, it seems Israel has failed to establish a weakened but independent power in the Gaza Strip - mainly because the atrocities by Israel have failed to recruit international pressure on Egypt to open the siege of Gaza enough. It seems there will be a revival of the accord between Hamas and the West Bank Palestinian Authority that Israel has invested so much effort into sabotaging. It is not clear yet what the the details will be and how the latest Israeli atrocities will influence pressure from the imperial powers on Israel to end the 1967 occupation. Latest news: Israel has started to retreat its forces from the Gaza Strip with no resolution and with rockets still being fired on Israel. [Italiano]

textPalestine-Israel - a struggle that never ends between Zionist settler colonialism and the indigenous... 15:25 Sun 20 Jul by Ilan S. 0 comments

The war on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip continues for the 13th day. Demonstrations against Israeli warmongering continue both in Israel and throughout the world. All that Israel wants in this war that it has initiated is to thwart a Palestinian unity government and curb the peace agreements it might speed up. The danger of Hamas' surrender to the Palestinian Authority in the heels of its economic crisis has resulted from the actions of the new Egyptian government, which seriously threatens the project of splitting the Palestinians, something that Israel has invested extraordinary efforts in. Only the total collapse of Hamas rule in Gaza scares Israel more than that. However, due to internal problems among the Israel political elite and public opinion, the government refrained from revealing the true nature of the war, which is to stabilize independent Hamas rule in Gaza and prevent the need for Hamas to surrender to the Palestinian Authority of the West Bank. So, instead the Israeli government has exaggerated the reports about attacks against Hamas and is hiding the real agenda - the obstruction of Palestinian unity. [Italiano]

textKurdish "Terrorists" Rescue Yezidis Aug 15 by PaulB 0 comments

The US special forces finally sent to Mount Sinjar in Northern Iraq to assess a mission to rescue the threatened Yezidis this morning [Thursday 14 August], reported that most of the displaced population had already been rescued in the previous days. What is not being widely reported is the identity of the Kurdish forces who secured the northern side of the mountain and opened a safe passage for the threatened Yezidi civilians, through the Syrian territory they control to Dohuk in the north of the Kurdish Autonomous region in Iraq.

Embarrassingly for the US, arriving on its white charger to save the day, only to discover they are far too late, the saviours of the Yezidis are the Turkish Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and their Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) allies. The PKK are officially on the US and EU “terrorist” lists and the autonomous Syrian region defended by the YPG is subject to blockade by ISIS to the South and West, Turkey to the North and the corrupt Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) regime in Kurdish Northern Iraq to the East.

In 1871, Karl Marx wrote that governments use war as a fraud, a ‘humbug, intended to defer the struggle of the classes’. In 1914, that fraud was so effective that not only most workers but also most Marxists supported their respective nation’s rush to war. Ever since then, governments have used war to defer class struggle and prevent revolution. But this strategy cannot last forever.[1]

The Iraq crisis has been continued for decades while it has been under the power of Saddam Hussein or under the “current democratic Regime” since the invasion of 2003. There were no freedom, no social justice; no equality and also little opportunity for those who were independent from the political parties who were in power. In addition to existing brutality and discrimination against women and the ordinary people a very big gap was created between the rich and poor, making the poor even poorer and the rich richer. No matter what gains we make in struggle, sooner or later employers and governments will try to roll them back. And no matter how much ground we give, employers and governments will only come back for more. The class war goes on, because whether we fight or we don’t, capital never stops fighting. The struggle will continue until we organise as a class, take the means of production into our own hands, and overthrow the entire capitalist system. Only workers’ revolution can end the class war and bring peace to the human race.
