After the mainly political defeat of Israel in the attack on Gaza and the following defeat in the US, the Israeli state forces repression of the weekly demonstrations was met with restraining orders. It was expressed in a few cases of small units of soldiers escaping from stone-throwing youth - the video of the most pictorial one played again and again on Israeli TV channels. Rightist "talking heads" complained that the fleeing soldiers insulted Israel and harsher measures must be taken. The more realistic ones pointed to the international loss of respect for Israel that harmed protesters would aggravate. In addition to the usual Beit Ummar, Bil'in, Al-Ma'sara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'lin, Qaddum, South Hebron hills, and Sheikh Jarrah, there was the addition this week of Kufr ad-Dik and Krayut. Dopo anni di lotta persistente le prime crepe emettono una piacevole melodia. Il dolore dei caduti, dei feriti e di coloro che soffrono più di altri viene un po' mitigato dalla sconfitta subita da Israele a Gaza ed all'ONU. Sembra che la Tsumud, la resistenza e la lotta popolare non-armata stia iniziando a cambiare il corso delle cose in campo internazionale. Vediamo e rivediamo ancora una volta che quando la bilancia è in equilibrio, anche un piccolo gruppo di attivisti che persistono nella lotta può fare la differenza. After years of persistent struggle the first cracks emit a more pleasant melody. The pains of the fallen, the injured, and these suffering more than others is softened a bit by the defeat of Israel in Gaza and the UN. It seems that the Tsumud, the resistance and the popular unarmed struggle start to change the flow of things in the international arena. We see it again and again that when the scales are in balance, even a small group of activists who persist in struggle can tip the scales. The joint struggle contribute its share in obstructing the efforts of the Israeli establishment to equate the struggle against Israel with antisemitism. Domenica 11.11.12, il generale al comando della Cisgiordania centrale ha dichiarato zone militari chiusi per gli attivisti israeliani le aree interessate dalle manifestazioni unitarie del venerdì nei villaggi di Bil'in, Ni'lin, Nabi Saleh e Qaddum. Mercoledì 14, abbiamo lanciato la nostra sfida unendoci all'iniziativa del coordinamento generale del comitati di base locali. Οι πρόσφατες διακηρύξεις για αυστηροποίηση των ελέγχων στα Μέσα Μαζικής Μεταφοράς έρχονται με προκλητικό τρόπο να επιβάλουν μια κατάσταση φόβου και ενοχοποίησης σε όλους εμάς που τα χρησιμοποιούμε καθημερινά. The joint struggle picked a new momentum. On Sunday 11-11-12 the general commanding the center of the west bank declared the Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Nabi Saleh, and Quaddum locations of joint Friday demos as closed military regions for our activists on Fridays. On Wednesday we expressed our defiance by joining the initiative of the general comity of the local grass root comities. The war on Gaza flared Wednesday afternoon and the anarchists against the wall activists joined the demos in the various locations in Israel. read full story / add a comment

Leonardo Vargas vive en Curanilahue y es dirigente del “Comité de Damnificados Vivienda y Dignidad”. Este comité nace en agosto del año 2012 debido a la coyuntura que provocó el terremoto y tiene como objetivo principal pelear por una solución habitacional definitiva en un nuevo terreno. Esta agrupación se encuentra compuesta por cerca de 120 familias de la comuna de Curanilahue, principalmente damnificados que quedaron en sus propios sitios, los cuales se encuentran en "zona roja" o "de riesgo". Dicho comité, junto a muchas otras organizaciones populares, dan vida a la Coordinadora de Organizaciones Sociales de Arauco, instancia orgánica que intenta impulsar la lucha por diversas demandas en la Provincia de Arauco. Visite inattese alle prime ore del mattino di domenica scorsa per gli anarchici contro il muro ed altri, con tanto di "regalo". Non è roba di tutti i giorni essere svegliati dalla polizia. Senza autorizzazione, sono entrati in casa nostra ed hanno sequestrato 4 pezzi di carta con le mappe dei villaggi di Bil'in, Kafr Qaddum, Ni'lin ed an-Nabi Saleh. Hanno detto che fino alla metà di marzo 2013 non sarei potuto andare in nessuno di questi villaggi. Hanno fatto un elenco di tutte le cose che han preso ed hanno insistito che firmassi la ricevuta. Η εκλογή Χριστόφια το 2008 παρά το ότι δεν ήταν αποτέλεσμα κάποιας ουσιαστικά αριστερής στροφής στην ε/κ κοινότητα, ανάλογης πχ με αυτή στην τ/κ κοινότητα το 2003, αναμφίβολα μάς δημιούργησε προσδοκίες και αναπτέρωσε τις ελπίδες μας για διάφορα ζητήματα. Δεν είχαμε βέβαια καμιά ψευδαίσθηση καθότι γνωρίζαμε καλά τα όρια και της αστικής δημοκρατίας και του προοδευτισμού του ΑΚΕΛ. read full story / add a comment
