It is within times of crisis when the thin veil of neoliberalism slips to reveal the emperor is not wearing any clothes. It exposes the sheer inefficacy of capitalism to cope with human crises and cater for the most basic human needs. In these times, when the capitalist state is left reeling, we see glimpses of community, solidarity and interdependence emerge once again - the very ideals neoliberalism has for the last 40 odd years attempted to erode and eradicate. The politics in the Philippine archipelago is dominated by hierarchical and alienating politics as represented by reformism and National Democracy. Against these the paper forwards the liberatory politics of anarchism. The paper introduces anarchist concepts such as egalitarian organizing, mutual aid, and direct action for people unfamiliar with these concepts. After situating anarchism in the anti-authoritarian struggles in the archipelago, the paper also argues for a shift in the anarchist politics of the archipelago from an autonomist anarchism towards a revolutionary politics as a social movement. read full story / add a comment

A cada dia, os números da pandemia se multiplicam por todo o mundo, onde a grande maioria dos países já tem casos confirmados. Segundo a Unesco, cerca de 80% de todas as estudantes do mundo estão com as aulas suspensas nos níveis básico e superior, totalizando mais de 1,3 bilhões de pessoas (https://bit.ly/unesco2403). Aqui no brasil, Bolsonaro discursa contra medidas individuais fundamentais como buscar o isolamento social e as rotinas de higiene porque não tem nenhuma preocupação com nossas vidas, apenas com o lucro dos bancos e dos patrões. Além de defender essas recomendações de saúde, a coordenação anarquista brasileira (CAB) já ressaltou a necessidade de derrubar o teto de gastos (emenda constitucional 95) e o não-pagamento da dívida pública para investir diretamente no sus; a incorporação da rede hospitalar privada pelo sus; e a garantia de um salário mínimo universal e a suspensão das contas e alugueis para permitir o isolamento das trabalhadoras precarizadas (https://anarquismo.noblogs.org/?p=1261). read full story / add a comment

La logica privatistica introdotta nella sanità pubblica, l’estensione del concetto della competitività con il corrispettivo allargamento di quella privata, ha portato ad una costante ed ineluttabile riduzione di posti letto complessivi. Oltre a questa falcidia nel 2015 il Governo Renzi nel regolamento per gli standard ospedalieri definito con decreto (Decreto n70 del 02\04\2015) ha stabilito che un utilizzo medio dell’ 80/90 % dei posti letto durante l’anno deve essere ritenuto sufficiente. Quindi basta che i pazienti di Covid-19 raggiungano il 10/20 % dei posti letto di rianimazione a disposizione per saturare i Reparti. read full story / add a comment
