There is currently a military coup in Turkey. It is not certain what the outcome will be, but tanks are on the streets, soldiers have taken over state television, airports are shut down, and gunfire and explosions have been heard in Istanbul and Turkey. It is clear that a substantial section of the military has taken action against the government and is in control of parts of the country. At this moment there are reports of soldiers killing protesters. Given the historic weakness of the Turkish military as a political power relative to the eras in which it carried out previous coups, there is a strong chance that the government will prevail.

At least 84 dead in Nice as a truck is deliberately driven through the huge crowds marking the anniversary of the French Revolution. The driver who was shot be police after plowing through the crowd for 1.2km is reported to be a French citizen of Tunisian descent. Ho appreso molte più informazioni utili ed interessanti leggendo il romanzo di Dan Brown, "Angeli e demoni", anziché i numerosi, autorevoli saggi sulla materia. Le cronache vaticane testimoniano che le dimissioni a sorpresa di Ratzinger che hanno aperto la strada a Bergoglio, sono riconducibili alle lotte intestine tra le opposte cordate (in primis l’Opus Dei) che dilaniano la curia pontificia di Roma anzitutto sulla questione dello IOR, la famigerata banca vaticana. In apparenza questo istituto sembra una piccola filiale di provincia, eppure il flusso di capitali che circolano tramite essa è ingente: si tratta di movimenti finanziari dell’ordine di centinaia di miliardi di dollari. The joint non armed struggle of the Israeli anarchists against the wall with local activists which confronted the Israeli state forces was unique at the beginning and drew to it less radical Israelis. Along the years were efforts to unite the local struggles and rise the level of activity but both Palestinian and Israeli authorities thwarted it. Alternative projects in the less radical Israeli circles diminish the pool the AAtW recruit. In the Palestinian side some of the successes and softening of the Israeli suppression contributed its share for dropping out of the on going joint struggle. The radical change of suppression of the Friday demos in Bil'in - mainly not shooting us any more with bullets and tear gas grenades, and the Ramadan rose some second thoughts even in the most persistent activists. Não é de hoje que a educação é vista como uma mercadoria disponível no balcão de negócios dos governos e dos patrões ou como um instrumento de dominação política e ideológica dos de cima sobre os/as de baixo. De norte a sul no Brasil e em várias partes do continente latino-americano, os de cima impõem reformas educacionais, projetos de lei, ajustes fiscais e todo o tipo de medidas que visam precarizar e desqualificar ainda mais as condições de trabalho, de estudo e colocar por inteiro as escolas e universidades sob a lógica hegemônica do capitalismo financeiro. Porém, nesta conjuntura de retirada de direitos e deterioração da qualidade de vida (seja pelos péssimos salários ou pelo aumento dos preços), no campo da educação, não está ausente a resistência e a luta dos educadores, educadoras, estudantes e todos e todas aquelas que defendem uma educação pública, gratuita e a serviço das demandas da classe oprimida. São as greves dos trabalhadores e trabalhadoras da educação e, mais recentemente, as ocupações de escolas em diversos estados do Brasil, as respostas dos de baixo frente a esses ataques. read full story / add a comment

En octubre de 2014 la Inmobiliaria Canquén Norte S. A., destruyó con una retroexcavadora más de 30 metros del Capac Ñan (camino Inca), 15 metros de Pircas (construcción Inca de piedra) y las dos piedras guardianas que custodiaban el acceso al antiguo centro ceremonial Inca ubicado en el cerro Chena de la comuna de San Bernardo.
