Within the anarchist movement there are conflicting trends. Laurence Davis has written an essay which defends the reformist “exodus” trend in anarchism against the revolutionary "class-struggle” trend. In large part, he does this by defending Uri Gordon’s and David Graeber’s views against my criticisms. This is my response.

A review of David Graeber's book, Revolutions in Reverse. The author has some intelligent insights, such as the importance of recognizing where the justice movements have won victories. In other ways his thinking is sometimes muddled, as he tries to both reject the need for an insurrectionary revolution and, at the same time, to advocate it as part of his perspective of reversed revolutions. read full story / add a comment
