Ο ρόλος των κοινωνικών κινημάτων είναι να στέψουν την προσοχή προς την ανθρώπινη χειραφέτηση και την κοινωνική απελευθέρωση, διαμέσου της συνεργασίας και της αλληλεγγύης, συστατικά στοιχεία που αντιμάχονται την εθνοκεντρική κατασκευή τα οποία απεχθάνεται ο εθνικισμός. Η επιλογή της μνήμης πρέπει να είναι πάντα κοινωνική, στέλνοντας τον εθνικισμό στην λήθη εκεί που του αξίζει. Άλλωστε ο προδοτικός εφιάλτης ήταν έλληνας κάτι που υπέρμαχοι της «προγονικής» ιστορίας συνειδητά αποκρύπτουν. Οι εθνικιστές είναι οι νέοι εφιάλτες για την κοινωνία. Γι’ αυτό και η μέγιστη δυνατή πράξη, η απονομιμοποίηση τους δεν θα γίνει από την «θεσμική δημοκρατία» αλλά από την ίδια την κοινωνία, όχι των εθνών, αλλά των ανθρώπων! read full story / add a comment

Samedi 19 octobre à Paris se tenait un rassemblement dans le cadre de la "Journée européenne contre le logement cher, la spéculation et pour le droit au logement". Il s’agissait par ailleurs de dénoncer la politique de logement de ce gouvernement et de réclamer le relogement de 300 familles. read full story / add a comment

On one side we have the mounting international pressure on Israel to yield a bit. On the other side we have the increase in fear among the Israeli elite of the mounting pressure and the threats to increase it much more in the near future. In spite of that, or as a desperate response, efforts to speed up the creeping transfer by the regular Israeli forces and the irregular settlers have increased immensely. Israeli Bedouins face the prelude of the Farwer plan to transfer half of the villagers to concentration towns. Palestinians of the Jordan valley and of the area south of Hebron are being harassed and slowly pushed out. The demolitions and confiscations of houses in occupied East Jerusalem continues. And the joint struggle persists both in Bil'in, Ni'lin, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum, Ma'sara, Sheikh Jarrah, and South of Hebron Hills - and will never stop. [Italiano]

Nos sorprendió que entre las imágenes que nos llegaron sobre las protestas civiles contra el gobierno en Iraq, aparecían varias en las que podían leerse pancartas reivindicativas en castellano. Después, nuestros contactos nos revelaron que no se trataba de un error ni de una manipulación de esas que se hacen fácil con los photoshops de turno. Las pancartas en castellano con las que el pueblo iraquí trataba de llamar la atención internacional, eran la muestra de que un pueblo no olvida fácilmente la solidaridad de otro. Y fíjense que hablamos aquí de pueblos y no de estados, ni de países, ni de gobiernos. Los iraquíes recordaban las manifestaciones españolas en contra de la participación de su ejército en la invasión a Iraq y como estas protestas fueron clave para que las tropas españolas abandonaran después el país. Así que para los nuevos tiempos, nuevos y duros tiempos que corren, hicieron uso de esta memoria para llamar a la solidaridad.
