The struggle in Bil'in is only one part of the fabric of struggle of more than 120 years between the indigenous people of Palestine and the Zionist settler colonialist and transfer project. Nota preliminar: Rojava es una región autónoma en el Kurdistán Sirio, está compuesto por tres cantones ubicados al norte y al noroeste de Siria y que no se hallan contiguos: Efrin, Cezire y Kobane. La mayoría de la población aquí es kurda, pero hay gente de un sinnúmero de religiones y perteneciente a una importante diversidad de etnias. Durante la “Primavera Árabe” del 2011, cuando los ojos del mundo posaban sobre Egipto y Túnez, se desató la guerra civil en Siria. Un año después, ya en el verano del 2012, la autoridad de Bashar al-Assad y su gobierno perdió terreno en el Rojava. En lugar de aliarse a los rebeldes sirios, los kurdos decidieron optar por su autonomía, y declararon la libertad e independencia de su región de todo poder (Estado o Nación); optaron por el autogobierno. Si en algún momento los kurdos lucharon por su propio Estado, ahora lo hacen por el Confederalismo Democrático, un programa donde predomina la democracia directa desde las bases, la autonomía de gobierno, la equidad de género, la economía de cooperación y otros importantes pilares como la ecología y la cooperación federativa. En la actualidad, la Guerra Civil Siria ha planteado dos frentes contra los kurdos, por un lado el gobierno sirio y por otro los rebeldes extremistas en la zona (en especial el Estado Islámico); la vecina Turquía es hostil al proceso de Rojava e Iraq representa un riesgo latente debido al empuje de la coalición occidental y árabe contra el Estado Islámico en ese país. A continuación presentamos una entrevista realizada por Bruno Lima en enero del presente año a un militante de la organización turca Acción Revolucionaria Anarquista. Hemos alterado levemente el texto para insertar notas al final y permitir que la lectura sea más fluida, así como también para comprender la naturaleza de ciertas organizaciones que podrían ser ajenas al lector.

Saturday police in Greece batoned and tear gassed protesters outside one of the migrant detention camps now being run by Syriza. Militant protests both inside and outside the camp resumed last weekend after the suicide of a Pakistani migrant, Nadim Mohammed who had been held for 18 months, released and then returned to the Amygdaleza camp.
