From elections, it expects the State and local government system to be put at its disposal. From coalitions it expects the electorate to be divided by the various programmes and parties on geographical, language, religious, ethical bases (even ideological if necessary), as long as citizens' class interests are hidden from view. This week the focus was on the straggle against transfer in Seikh Jarrah, and a one year "aniversory" to the Israeli war crime onslout on the Gaza strip - the world largest concentration camp. In Sheikh Jarrah activists tried to help during the week - in addition to the Friday demonstration. For gaza, we both participated in the joint demonstration on Saturday evening in Jaffa and in Sunday walking on the Zikim beach towards Gaza. Sunday had again a demonstration in Tel Aviv protesting the persecution of "New Profile" that support refusnics. Last Saturday as during the previous weeks comrades escorted Saffa Palestinins (neighboring the settler colonialist Bat Ain terrorists) to their fields. In protest to occupation persecution of popular comity members arrested, an enhanced mobilization from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem succeeded in part to arrive at the joint demo. In Bil'in - the "Flag Ship" of the non-violent struggle against the separation fence and occupation, we had the 220th Friday demonstration. Comrades of Anarchists Against the Wall participated in the continuous struggle against evictions and demolitions of houses of Palestinian families in the extended Jerusalem region (Silwan and Sheikh Jarakh mainly). Wednesday we were in Ni'ilin. Friday was focussed on the demonstrations against the separation fence and occupation in Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Um Salmuna. As there is no supreme joy as the malicious joy, we had such huge joy in Bil'in, when the stupid state forces found that the eastern wind carry the tear gas they shoot on us towards them. Bil'in struggle still get into the the main TV media. Previous Friday TV news brought a clip about shooting contradicting regulations. [Italiano]

We are living in a world that for most people is broken and that has broken most people. It is not a god given world, but one that has been constructed by those in power and that has left most people mired in deprivation. Under COVID-19, this world has sunk to new lows. All is not lost though. There has historically been a section within the progressive movement – in different parts of the world and in South Africa – based around forms of radically democratic socialism that has not only tapped into the righteous anger of the working class, but has also sought to create a home and sense of belonging for people based on progressive values and principles such as mutual aid, solidarity and even love. If we want a better world, we need to revive the popularity of the types of politics, ethics, values, principles and practices that formed the essence – at their best – of such movements and update it for the context of the 21st century. more >>
