No próximo sábado, 27 de maio, é o Dia da Mata Atlântica, um dos lugares mais
ricos em biodiversidade do Brasil, e também um dos mais ameaçados do planeta,
apenas 7% de sua área original aindam restam. Há mais de 500 anos os "homens
brancos" endinheirados vêm usurpando esse ecossistema. Isso é triste, mas, para
piorar, está previsto para ser votado pela Câmara dos Deputados no final deste
mês, o golpe de misericórdia nos remanescentes da Mata Atlântica. Trata-se do
Projeto de Lei 107/03 (PL da Mata Atlântica). Onde o governo federal, organizações
não-governamentais “ambientalistas”, dentre as quais a famosa e rica SOS Mata
Atlântica e parte da bancada ruralista, estão unidos para aprovar essa lei que
libera os desmatamentos das últimas áreas de Mata Atlântica, permitindo a volta

A second successful blockade was held this morning outside the Shell Oil Terminal on Centre Park Rd. in Cork. The blockade was held in solidarity with the Rossport 5.
