For already more than two years the rebellion against the sharp intensification of global neo-liberalism is fermenting. The struggle against the local processes is overcoming efforts by the local elite to use intensifying conflicts with the Palestinians to "soften the resistance". The more dramatic wave of two years ago has passed but not without permanent ferment that is just waiting for a local or international trigger. There are very few who have persisted in the Israeli Anarchists Against the Wall initiative throughout the 10 years of struggle, but new activists are taking the place of those who lost the energy and will to continue at the same level of activity - or have just left the country. The weekly persistent demos in Bil'in, Ma'sara, Ni'lin, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum, and Sheikh Jarrah hold the flag high. This week the uprising in Turkey is only the the freshest one of the new mode. Last week a group of protesters started guarding action after some trees were taken down illegally in the name of urban gentrification projects. In the second day of the protest, very early in the morning, the police attacked the protesters heavily with gas bombs, presssured water and plastic bullets and wounded many protesteds. A spark began against this event of state terrorism and spread accross the country turning into a massive action and organized the big revolt. The public organized against increasing attacks, state terrorism and police violence and have been turning the streets into the area of resistance. This public revolt has been streaming for four days and is constantly spreading. [Italiano] ... read full story / add a comment

This is just the beginning, the struggle is going on.
Revolt is out of time and space. For about 40 hours from Istiklal to Harbiye, from Tarlabasi to Besiktas the freedom of a rebellion is being felt. We come in to Taksim Square from Istiklal, after forty hours of clashes. Law enforcement officers run away with all their vehicles. Forty hours, forty years, the square has been a world for us.
This was the freedom of rebellion, maybe the most frightening slogan was that, this is just the beginning the struggle is going on.
Yes, our struggle is going on till we grow our free world, which we carry in our hearts. ... read full story / add a comment

The joint struggle started against the separation fence and its specific route which used to robe lands of villages and even to transfer them. The struggles brought some partial victories and promoted the joint struggle of Israeli activists, Palestinian grass root committees and internationals. The local, and more so the international awareness to the struggle against the occupation and the persistent efforts of transfer by Israel succeeded to slow the transfer but had not put end to it... nor to the occupation. The present focus of the joint struggle now is on the efforts to curb the gradual transfer efforts within Israel, area C in the occupied west bank, and the East of Jerusalem, and the international B.D.S. - Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions. Already 65 years since the Nakba and I still remember Deir Yassin and other bits of memories from 9 years before it. It took me too many years to put all of them together and overcome the Zionist and its national socialist (Marxist) brainwashing. For the last 47 years I've enjoyed freedom from Erich Fromm's "Escape From Freedom" and have tried to have the path opened for others. Participation in the joint struggle along with the popular committees is the best road to freedom for Israelis. Thanks to the Palestinian activists of Bil'in, Ni'lin, Ma'sara, Beit Ummar, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum and other villages who participate from time to time, with a special thanks to Mas'ha scene of the joint camp that started the joint popular non-armed struggle. The restraining orders regulating the suppression of the non-armed struggles resulting from the involvement of Israelis are being challenged again. [Italiano] ... read full story / add a comment

The esteblishment lamented that the Wolf Prize in Physics of $100.000 bestowed on him 25 years ago did not buy his support for ever. The panic they developed and efforts they invested to minimize the damage point to the qualitative jump of the B.D.S. to an higher level. It is not the beginning of the end yet, but it is certainly the end of the beginning. The efforts invested in the crawling transfer - both the Bedouins within Israel, the Palestinian villagers in area C, and within occupied east Jerusalem seems to be a desperate moves to bust their dwindling moral. The transfer pressure in area C and the 1948 borders Negev intensifies. The colonialist settlers increase their terror, backed by the Israeli state forces. The increased popular struggle intensifies too and rightist calls for harsher repression are becoming louder. Not all those involved with the grassroots popular struggles are happy with the joint struggle together with Israelis, preferring to do without the relative immunity from harsher repression that we provide, and without our contribution for world public opinion. The ferment in the region has already decided that things will not be the same, but only popular struggle and international pressure will channel the changes to the better. Turkish state forbid Taksim Square for May Day this year same as three years before. During this “legal” May Day years, state tried to make people forget the real meaning of May Day. We know that May Day is the rebel day of the oppressed ones, workers and revolutionary people. It is the day we raise the anger against state and capitalists. As long as capitalism endures, the world will be wracked by economic crisis and war, but there is a solution. We can unite across national borders with a global movement against capitalism and all its ills. We can build our movement with federalism and direct democracy rather than authoritarianism and hierarchy. And we can make a revolution, forging a classless global society of libertarian communism, where a free federation of workplaces and communities replaces capitalism and the State. We can establish, at last, a world of liberty, equality and solidarity and it will be done by practicing the values of the society we wish to create. ... read full story / add a comment

The traditional Chinese course: "Have an interesting life" is fulfilled these months in the East of the Mediterranean: The elite in Syria massacre its rebelling people, the Israeli state continue with the cleansing of the Palestinians and have a second neo-liberal front with own people; Turkey just in the north cut the last ropes of the Ottoman empire and Egypt to the south is fermenting more than ever in its long long History. The elites of the European countries of the north who ruled and exploited our region for centuries start to feel and behave in the panic of tiger riders who fear that the ride is nearing its end and the confrontation with the tiger is nearing... Last Friday in Bil'in - the 426th demo of which I have participated in more than 400. As usual we were shot at with tear gas grenades and canisters, part of which I had to evade as they were shot in my direction. Part of the tear gas of the others I mostly evaded too. Now, on my chair in front of the computer I am taunted with the thought that I and scores of Israeli activists of the Anarchists Against the Wall initiative and others who participate in the joint struggle just got used to being shot at week after week. Some who are less lucky or less agile have taken more punishment than me... The Israeli media is used to it too, reporting on the shooting and us and the Palestinian partners as if it is just the weather. The banality of evil is the prevailing character of Israel these days, reminding more and more people of places and occurrences of other countries in other times. The Israel main daily Yedioth Ahronoth revealed in the morning of 13-1-15 a classified document of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: "Worsening European measures against Israel... fear that the US stop using its veto power in the Security Council... a particularly gloomy forecast for 2015. It shows how far the political tsunami could reach, and in some ways has already begun". It seems the many thousands of international activists and dignitaries who participated in the joint struggle with the Israeli activists of the anarchists against the wall together with the Palestinian popular village comities were the catalysts that put the struggle on the media agenda again and again till the minimal mass already reached. First, the video clips invaded the main stream media, than Bil'in Habibti documentary and the pick was expressed in the 5 broken cameras award... and like a snow ball rolling down the mountain it is unstoppable now. The approaching victory in the struggle to block the advance of the Zionist settler colonialist project and even to force it to retreat a bit do not make the real good people to like the enrolling of history. The approaching defeat make the Israeli elite take desperate steps and do its atrocities in the open. The efforts to transfer the Bedouins within 1948 borders and villagers in 1967 occupied territories escalate. The diminishing support of Israel by the imperial power due to changes in the dynamics of the region, world public opinions and economic losses it cause gradually change the power balance within the Israeli capitalist elite that may be expressed in the coming elections. On the ground, the joint struggle in Bil'in, Ni'lin, Ma'sara, Nebi Saleh, Sheikh Jarrah, Qaddum, and South Of Hebron Hills, is gradually expanding to other locations even without the "shield" of Israeli activists. The old world order, in which US interests in the region East of the Mediterranean let Israel - a bastion of the US - continue with its Zionist settler colonialist in the 1967 occupied Palestine, has ended. Europe has started to advance its own interests, which are not in accord with the Israeli bastion. The independent steps of Europe are enhanced by its public opinion against Israeli colonialism to which the joint struggle in the West Bank contributes a lot. It was the approach of the imminent crisis that forced the Israeli Prime minister to call for elections, to save himself from the normally-timed election when the crisis would be the main agenda. The murder of the Palestinian minister of the popular struggles has focused attention on the ferment and rising of the popular non-armed struggles of which Israel is contemplating suppression with systematic use of live ammunition. To begin with, let me make it clear from the outset that I consider the attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo to be an atrocity and that I do not believe that it is justifiable under any circumstances to make a military target of a journalist, no matter what our opinion on the quality of his journalism may be. The same is valid in France, as it is in Colombia or in Palestine. Also, nor do I identify with any fundamentalism, whether it be Christian, Jewish or Muslim, nor indeed with Frenchified mock-secularism either, which makes a goddess of the “République”.

Introduction: Since the Kobanê siege started I have been dedicated several hours per week to understand and divulgate as much as possible about this social revolution initiated in a combination of Apoism and the Syrian Civil War. As a militant, I always have been involved in international solidarity. As an Arab descendent, I always have been trying to find a reliable left-wing force combining direct action and internal democracy. As a scholar and a Professor of Geopolitics studying the region for more than 25 years, Rojava is a dream coming true. Here I start the first of some interviews to organizations with real experience in this process and on the ground. This one I’m talking to Devrimci Anarşist Faaliyet (DAF, or Revolutionary Anarchist Action). They have been very active in this activity and understand in details the whole Kurdish process, both in Rojava and inside the Turkish State frontiers.
