The ‘José Ingenieros’ Popular Library, founded 1st July 1935, is one of the three historical centres of the Anarchist movement in the city of Buenos Aries, Argentina. It houses the Alfredo Seoane Archive, as well as the library itself, which together offer an important quantity of material on anarchism and the Workers’ movement. At present, the age of the building and the growth of the collections create a series of obstacles to our normal functioning. We, therefore, ask for your collaboration.

Around 50 people attended a lunch time vigil today organised by the Belfast Trade and District Council. A range of political organisations and unions attended including the Independent Workers Union, the WSM and Organise! During the rally one speaker from the council also referred to the police being workers too. This will provide little comfort to working people on the receiving end of state violence and terror. As our comrades from the Zabalaza Anarchist Communist Front note, ‘The role of the police is to repress and silence the working class and poor. This problem cannot be fixed by commissions or enquiries – as some people think. Ask the family of Andries Tatane. It cannot be changed by elections. Remember: Sharpeville 1960, Soweto 1976, Uitenhague 1985, Michael Makhabane in 2000, SAMWU workers in 2009, Andries Tatane in 2011 … Marikana 2012. No one could predict that the joint camp in Masha 12 years ago of Israeli and Palestinian activists will ignite a wide movement of a joint non armed struggle which the Israeli occupying system will fail to extinguish. The thousands of activities and the tens of thousands of participates were not expected. Many small victories and the international B.D.S. warm the hearts of the not too many who persist in the joint struggle in spite of the mourning of those killed, empathy with the injured and solidarity with those arrested. The strong bond of partnership between the Palestinian activists and the Israeli Anarchists Against the Wall initiative was surprising. Disappointing but not surprising is the way the people of the Israeli anarchist scene refrained from adopting the initiative as the main recruiting mission. Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Ma'asara, Nebi Saleh, and Qaddum are still holding high the banner.

Some words about the Solidarity Fund of ESE 16:56 Mon 10 Aug 0 comments
The Solidarity Fund of the Libertarian Syndicalist Union (ESE Athens) has been in operation for 5 years. The idea for a permanent solidarity fund was born, when on the 31st October 2009 we gathered after a music night, 1060 euros, which we sent to cover the legal expenses of 6 arrested members of ASI (Anarchosyndicalist Initiative of Serbia).

It is hard for many activists when the real meaning of the struggle are not concrete achievable gains, but a global worldwide struggle. This week, the concrete and the global merged when the struggle against the destruction of Susiya village recruited international support and forced Israel to delay or even cancel the demolition of the village. Pressure from the imperial powers on Israel was joined by European warning about approaching sanctions against the Israeli banking system for its involvement in the settlers' projects in the occupied West Bank. It seems the erosion of Israeli immunity from paying for its war crimes is collecting momentum. The Israeli media is full of news about B.D.S. - the joint struggle in which thousands of international activists participate, contributing a lot. The heroic Bil'in, Ni'lin, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum, Ma'sara, and Sheikh Jarrah keep the weekly flame from extinguishing. [Italiano]

Our Sadness Will Be Our Anger, Kobanê Will Reconstructure 01:33 Wed 22 Jul 0 comments
Yesterday, nearly three hundred people set off from different cities, with the call of Federation of Socialist Youth Associations; in order to rebuilt Kobanê, which was tried to be looted by the ISIS. Today, arriving Suruç (Pîrsus), just before leaving for Kobane, these young people made a press release in front of the Amara Culture Center in Suruç (Pîrsus). At the end of the press release, a bomb exploding in the middle of the crowd, silenced many hearts which had been beating with the hope of reconstruction.

Vulture capitalist games lose 460 jobs at Clerys store in Dublin 17:51 Tue 07 Jul 0 comments
Friday June 12ths shock closure of the iconic Clery’s department store in Dublin shows how the law is set up to favour capital and screw workers. Workers are being told there may be no additional redundancy or owed holiday payments as the company is in debt. But this is only the case because right before the closure the largest asset, the building itself, was separated off from the accumulated debts. This was almost certainly legal under our system but of such obvious dubious morality that the workers could expect massive popular support if they occupied the building on a permanent ongoing basis.

On 1st of January 1994 in Chiapas the masses held high the flag of rebellion just after the world capitalist celebrated their triumph on the revolutions of the 20th century and promoted their neo-liberal globalization of the world. But the struggle continued in entirely new mode. The amazing development in Rojava in which the main imperial powers find themselves giving aerial support to the anti authoritarian anti capitalists Kurds of Syria is like a flock of sparrows that mark that the spring is already hear. As part of the imminent change is the panic of the Israeli Zionist ruling elite from the faster advance of the B.D.S.... We cannot measure the contribution of each act of struggle to the change, but it seems that the many thousands of international activists who participated with us in the non armed joint struggle against the separation fence, the settlers, and occupation have a significant share. Over the Last 12 months, particularly since Christmas the housing and homeless problem has deepened significantly. From last summer the amounts of families’ registering as homeless went from 264 to now, which are 531. The number of families that are registered as being in need of emergency accommodation is 792 adults with 1,112 dependent children. These statics were issued by the Dublin Regional Homeless Executive. This is a 100% rise within 12 months, but yet the state has not come out and said there is a crisis in housing.
Working Class Struggle, Blazing a Path to Freedom Aug 26 0 comments
NOTE: Heritage Day is a post-apartheid South African national holiday; unlike most, it has no clear link to major struggles in the past, although there are efforts to position it as a more “political” day. The talk below was given by Lucien van der Walt at an event organised by Sakhaluntu Cultural Group in Grahamstown, for black youth. Thank you all for coming. Thank you, chair, for the invitation. Thank you, organisers, for the event today. Today looks like a great day, a great day to look forward. But before we look forward, we must look back as well. Unless you know where you come from, you will never know where you can go.
For how long can South African elites keep misleading the people? Aug 26 0 comments
Those in power don’t want to confront the status quo of hatred against immigrants, or South Africa’s imperialist role in the region. They have a narrow set of interests: getting votes, accumulating wealth and power. However, the recent wave of attacks on immigrants and the ruptures of relations with other African countries – especially where South African corporations are operating – have touched the most delicate nerves of the established political powers, who have vowed to advance corporate interests in making profits.

Prairie Struggle is Dead and the Struggle Continues Jun 03 Regina Collective 1 comments
As much as this pains those who have participated in the anarchist communist experience between 2011 and 2014 in the Canadian prairies, today, Prairie Struggle announces its official secession and subsequent disbandment. To this day, Prairie Struggle was the only specific platformist organization in the Canadians prairies. Though some may recall the existence of an anarchist communist group in Regina affiliated to the ACF (Anarchist Communist Federation of North America) in the 80s, organized anarchism in the prairies has had many difficulties, some of which the Prairie Struggle Project has failed to overcome. Despite its downfall, Prairie Struggle, for one last time, offers a look into the organization, its failures and its small victories.
End ANZAC Day Apr 26 Anarkismo 0 comments
Instead of glorifying the military prowess of the Anzacs, we should be building the working class movement which can sweep away all capitalist States. We need a revolution that will establish libertarian communism, a world of liberty, equality and solidarity, where war and militarism exist no more, except as exhibits in museums and lessons from history.

We are very pleased to be able to congratulate you on the realisation of your First Congress as a specific anarchist political organisation. In light of the disbanding of the Federación Anarco-Comunista Argentina we believe that this is a very important step both for our shared especifista tendency as well as for the development of anarchism in general, both in Argentina and the region.
