On the explosions in London
Statement of Federation of Anarchists of Greece
Statement of Federation of Anarchists of Greece (OAE) on the terrorist attacks in London, agreed in its 8th General Assemply.
On 7 July in London the fanatic islamists attacked us. They attacked with their bombs against defenceless people, workers, youth, in the metro, in a bus, in a square…
The dozens of the victims and the hundreds of injured are not numbered in «a few». No victim of authority is «few» as the various reactionary political formations of Greece try to convince us. Every human life which is sacrificed because of the political games of the authority is not a matter of any comparison. The parastate terrorism whether it comes from the opportinistic Left or the fascist Right or the fanatic islamists either is as abhorrant as the state terrorism. Today, for one more time, they are celebrating together, the anti-imperialist nationalistic Greek Left and the fascists of Piazza Fontana…
The Federation of Anarchists of Greece (OAE) expresses its sympathy for the victim’s families and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured victims of this terrorist attack. For us, the struggle for another world is not a struggle for a worse world as the values of freedom and equality are brutally violated by the barbarism of such actions.
We call every citizen to take a stance in deed in their respective social areas, against autocracy and totalitarianism. We are responsible for our history, let’s not be irresponsible with our inaction.
OAE believes that in the given circumstances the mass popular violence by all the socially and economically oppressed can divert catalytically the market world (capitalism) as well as the strong fundamedalism of Islam. The above terrorist actions have no relation with the social violence.
