With talks now delivered in 21 cities in the North Eastern USA and Eastern Canada the 'Building a Popular Anarchism' speaking tour continues to another 22 cities in the South East, Mid-west and the North West USA ending in the Bay Area. A decade ago the active anarchist movement in Ireland consisted of little more than a dozen people in two small groups. Today hundreds of people are active and one banned libertarian demonstration in 2004 saw 5,000 people take part. Anarchists are increasingly replacing Irish republicans as the bogeyman of the mainstream media. This talk explains how this breakthrough happened and details the various struggles anarchists have been involved in.

Hey Andrew have fun in the south and west of the U$A!
The tour here in the North East was great and the event is well worth peoples time. I predict end of tour, surge in organized anarchism, popular revolt and social revolution not far off....
; - )
Really though go, see what organized anarchist political groups with a coherent strategy and dedication can mean to building a powerful movement with anarchistic outlook.
Propaganda tours, i have not seen these except in history books on the fora and cnt on the turn of the century. Really nice

Just came across this page while googling for my own blog posts from the tour - anyway you'll find a considerable record of the individual dates, follow up interviews etc at http://anarchism.pageabode.com/cat/na-tour most of the contents of which I'd forgotten writing myself at this stage. In particular the audio interviews I did with anarchists in 17 of the cities are an interesting snapshot of where the movement was in 2008
