This Tuesday, “Super Tuesday,” Massachusetts voters will turn in for the Primaries to cast their ballots along with voters in 23 other states. Though it is still very early in the election season, we are already down to 4 candidates for President—two republicans, two democrats, and not one good choice.

This Tuesday, January 5th, anti-authoritarians in Boston will participate in the Northeast Anarchist Network’s campaign to “Discredit Representative Democracy and Promote Direct Democracy,” by answering the call of the Anti-Democratic National Convention organizers—Unconventional Denver—for an International Day of Action against the US elections (See their call below)

Here, anarchists across the city will carry out autonomous creative actions such as banner drops, street theater, soapbox speeches, and posting fliers, aimed at educating our fellow Bostonians about the inherent flaws in government and the beautiful alternatives that exist. Join with groups of anti-authoritarians all across the country in reminding our fellow people that democracy doesn’t mean picking the least terrible candidate to make decisions for you. Democracy is something that is born and thrives in the community. Democracy is something that the politicians have stolen, and that we are rebuilding building now in our homes, on our streets, at our jobs and in our schools.

So how can you get involved? Grab your friends, your comrades, your family or your co-workers, and plan to do something in the communities you are a part of. Paint a banner and hang it from something high, perform relevant music or theatrics in your local public square, cover the walls and posts of your job, your school, or your neighborhood poling stations with these fliers (posted with this article). Or make your own fliers! Organize a speak-out, a teach-in, a street party, or a film showing. Speak up in the classroom, at the job site, in your home; reach out to those around you. Take pictures and write descriptions of your actions and email them to local Northeast Anarchist Network members at baam (at) hush.com, or post them on independent media. Let us know if you want them included in our upcoming anarchist publications, such as the BAAM’s Monthly Newsletter and the Nor’ Easter, a brand new quarterly from the Northeast Anarchist Network.

**CALL TO ACTION** On Super Tuesday, We Vote No!
Called by Unconventional Denver
On Super Tuesday, February 5th 24 states will be holding their primaries or caucuses to choose Republican and Democratic presidential candidates.

While the state insists that change comes from us handing over our dreams and passions to the political elite, Unconventional Denver will be sending a clear message to the city of Denver, the Democrats and the country that We Vote No. We vote no to the candidates on the slate, the Democratic Party and to the corporate two-party system itself.

There will be banner drops and other creative actions taking place around the city rejecting the state and its upcoming conventions. We invite fellow Unconventional Action groups and other anti-authoritarian groups and individuals across the country to carry out similar banner drops, wheatpasting sprees, street theatre, caucus crashing and other creative actions in opposition to the two-party system and to build momentum for this summer's mobilization against the conventions.

Some banner suggestions include:
-WE VOTE NO!
-UNCONVENTIONAL ACTION
-WHOEVER WINS, WE LOSE
-DISRUPT THE DNC!
-CRASH THE CONVENTIONS

For some inspiration, check out the recent action taken by Milwaukee anarchists- http://mke.indymedia.org/en/2008/01/209062.shtml

Our future is not at the caucuses, the primaries, the conventions or the voting booths. WE VOTE NO!
