Bushwick May Day March

All class struggle anarchists in the NY area should make an effort to attend this important event. A large red and black presence will be a big boost to the Workers In Action comrades and will help keep the libertarian orientation of the campaign in the forefront and give notice to the reformist trade union coming on the scene that this campaign is grass roots initiated and grass roots oriented.

Bring lots of red and black flags, whistles and noise makers.

The “Awake Bushwick” Campaign is a campaign to improve the working
conditions of hundreds of retail workers on Knickerbocker Avenue.

Why are we marching?
• Many of the workers at the 175 stores on Knickerbocker Ave. are
not receiving minimum wage or overtime pay. Also, many are mistreated
or have to suffer difficult working conditions.
• TOGETHER WE CAN STOP THE ABUSE!

Our Demands:
• Better wages and paid vacations
• Paid holidays and the right to form a union
• Respect for workers and secure working conditions

When?: Sunday, May 1, 2005
Where?: At Make the Road by Walking, 301 de Grove, between
Knickerbocker and
Myrtle Avenues
Time: 12:00pm
