Workers Solidarity Alliance holds upbeat and positive national conference. WSA looks to build a libertarian workers movement that is rooted in all phases of life and struggle.

Dear comrades,

Just a quick report-back on today's (US) Workers Solidarity Alliance (WSA) conference proccedings.

Members from Atlanta, Boston, Virginia, San Francisco., Berkley,CA, New York and New Jesrey were present. Greetings were recived from WSA members from Providence , RI and Charleston, WV who could not attend. Greetings were also received from friends from the Twin Cities, MN and from St. Catheraines, ONT.

Organizational greetings were received from the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW, farmworkers), German FAU-IAA and the Seville Local of the CNT-AIT (Spain). Further greetings were received from the Zablaza Anarchist Communist Federation (ZACF,S. Africa) and the Northeastern Federation of Anarchist Communists (NEFAC, northeastern US & Canada) and the Education officer of the Swedish SAC.

We briefly discussed the recent past. Our main focus, however, was on the present and future.

By all accounts our discussions have been positive and upbeat. New and old comrades worked cooperativly in a collective effort to grow the WSA and articulate our ideas in all spheres of life and struggle. Ideas about what to do in the here and now, as well as the future, were discussed. Out of this discussion some new and practical proposals were agreed to.

WSA members reaffirmed that our form of anarcho-syndicalism should remain open to various areas of activities and actions. And that our pluralistic viewpoint is best suited for our conditions and reflective of an open and expansive perspective.

WSA members renewed their commitment to advacing class struggle libertarian ideas and actions, both here and abroad. WSA further seeks to cooperate with others who share similiar but not identical views, again, both here and abroad.

Next year's conference will be in Atlanta during the same time period weekend.

A full report is to follow.

In solidarity,

Mitch
Corresponding Secty
