Solidarity and support with 595 cleaning workers of Ministry of Finance of Greece.

The European Network of Alternative and Base Unions expresses its support and solidarity with 595 cleaning workers of the Greek Finance Ministry who were dismissed on September 17 2013 to put the cleaning service in the hands of private subcontractors.

It's been 11 months since they started their struggle to regain employment and against the austerity policies and the governments that implement them, the Samaras government and the Troika.

We believe that we need to globalize and coordinate the struggles and establish supportive networks and solidarity among and workers from all countries to fight against salary reduction policies, cuts in services, criminalization of poverty and criminalization of struggles which are implemented locally under a global policy based only on the profit of a few.

The European Network of Alternative and Base Unions will boost support actions in various countries during the international solidarity week that will take place from 15 to 22 September and calls all social organizations and European union to perform support actions.
