On July 30th in Dallas, Texas the American Legislative Exchange council will be meeting in Dallas, we'll be there to stand up and fight back!

From July 30th to August 1st the powerful organization known as the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) will be holding their annual meeting in Dallas, Texas. Made up some of the nation’s most powerful law-makers and corporate executives, ALEC has a long history of stripping rights away from workers, filling private prisons, destroying voter rights, wreaking havoc on the environment, abusing immigrants, and privatizing health care in order to expand members’ ever growing profit margins and increase their absurd amount of power. In response, as ALEC meets behind closed doors and a phony PR campaign, tens of thousands of people from around the nation will be taking to the streets in Dallas with the use of direct action, road blockades, street theater, celebration and a fierce love for the power that we can hold when we take democracy into our own hands. The celebration that comes when we say, “Enough is enough!” and build a new world. We will come with the demand that ALEC come completely clean on their business dealings and dismantle immediately. Come prepared and we can’t wait to see you on the streets.
