...Europe consents

The mass murder of infants and women by the Greek state outside the island Farmakonisi is not an individual incident and absolutely not a tragedy, since ignorance is required for a tragedy to happen. It is one more result of the conscious murderous policy of Greece concerning the borders. Favored and motivated by the European Union policy of “Fortress Europe”, Dublin II Treaty, the formation of FRONTEX, Greece has installed a murderous mechanism in land and sea, whose stated target is in the best case the torture and in the worst the death of immigrants travelling towards Europe.

THE GREEK STATE MURDERS, EUROPE CONSENTS

The mass murder of infants and women by the Greek state outside the island Farmakonisi is not an individual incident and absolutely not a tragedy, since ignorance is required for a tragedy to happen. It is one more result of the conscious murderous policy of Greece concerning the borders. Favored and motivated by the European Union policy of “Fortress Europe”, Dublin II Treaty, the formation of FRONTEX, Greece has installed a murderous mechanism in land and sea, whose stated target is in the best case the torture and in the worst the death of immigrants travelling towards Europe.

In this framework the Nazi statements of the Greek Prime Minister on “reclamation of the cities” by the immigrants are being recorded as well as the proclamation that the war against immigration is top priority of the Greek presidency in the EU. In this framework the statements of the Chief of the Greek police and many ministers who invite others to make “immigrants lives unbearable” are being recorded. In this framework the humanoid consultant of the Minister of Health shouts that “we need dead people in the borders” is being recorded. In this framework the detention centers and the cooperation of police and the Golden Dawn Nazi murderers are being recorded. In this framework the Greek state has installed barbaric hordes of uniformed paid killers in the borders, like the men of the Coast Guard who threw infants and women in the sea near Farmakonisi, an action that has to be brought in front of Justice.

We must end with the fairy tale of “small Greece” that is being “forced” or “abandoned” by the “big ones”. Greece is a country-murderer, a state-bouncer, which plays leading part in Europe’s murderous racist and anti-migration politics. Greece is one country in the western world that has taken part and continues to take part in all the wars and military interventions during the previous years, keeps occupying military forces in different parts of the world and contributes in poverty and misery of the people that are being murdered when they seek for a better life.

The Greek state has to be stigmatized and isolated in a global scale and also the international unions and organizations that support and invest on the murders of the Greek state, such as the European Union, have to be denounced. The Greek society owe to their selves to erase this shame by taking direct, massive and effective action in order to stop this barbaric and inhuman strategy. We make a call out to all workers’ unions and all organizations of the anticapitalistic and antiracist movement for immediate coordination in order to move fast for actions against the fascist, murderous politics of the Greek state and one central demonstration on the same issue. We make an appeal for wide spread of the word on an international level in order to denounce the strategies of the Greek state and the European Union who supports and finances Greece.

- THE GREEK STATE IS A STATE-MURDERER. LET’S ORGANIZE OURSELVES AND STRUGGLE AGAINST THEIR POLICIES.

- FRONTEX HAS TO BE DISARMED AND ALL THE LETHAL ANTI-MIGRATION POLICIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION HAVE TO BE CANCELLED

- ALL THE MURDEROUS BATALLIONS ESTABLISHED BY THE GREEK STATE ON WATER AND SEA HAVE TO BE DISARMED.

- ALL THE EUROPEAN AND GREEK FORCES HAVE TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM ASIA AND AFRICA AND THE COUNTRIES WHO SUFFERED FROM THEIR PRESENCE HAVE TO BE COMPENSATED.

- POLITICAL ASYLUM TO THE SURVIVORS OF THE MASSACRE IN FARMAKONISI.

- LEGAL DOCUMENTS AND EQUAL RIGHTS TO ALL IMMIGRANTS.

- IMMIGRATION COMMITTEES IN EVERY WORKERS’ UNION IN ORDER TO ENSURE THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE IMMIGRANTS TO THE UNIONS AND TO ORGANIZE A COMMON STRUGGLE FOR THEIR LEGAL DOCUMENTS.

- PARTICIPATION IN THE RALLY THIS SATURDAY AT 12 NOON AT SYNTAGMA SQUARE.

ese_2.jpg imageAppeal for financial support 19:02 Wed 28 Jan by Libertarian Syndicalist Union (ESE Athens) 0 comments

Libertarian Syndicalist Union (ESE Athens) supports and joins in solidarity movements for the Syrian refugees (victims of war) which live in Greece. Apart from their fair request for direct provision of asylum and travel documents, these people have huge needs in terms of accommodation, food, health care, etc. Hundreds of Syrian refugees reside in hotels (as a stopgap solution), not in good conditions , being under the responsibility of the Greek government and Athens' mayor. We can also report that food supplies for the above refugees are οbtained from charities and solidarity movements.

I want to be treated as a human being – like the Greeks. When we will get papers, I will not anymore be afraid of police and I can work legally with an insurance. But most of the time I think now: what will happen if the government does not give an answer? (Arqal, hunger striker in Athens)

imageThe Nightmare Life: Migrants tales from Greece Aug 25 by Costas Avramidis 0 comments

Racism is definitely not a "new fruit" in Greek society and not a unique phenomenon to this country. I have witnessed it with my own eyes as it manifested throughout the years I was living there so I can share with you a little knowledge of how it ripens.

In Greece being different is not a good thing, as you will suffer a lot if you are a minority! Your life will be a living hell, if you are a woman or find yourself in a minority like being a lesbian, gay, gypsy, Pakistani, Albanian, Egyptian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Nigerian... In other words it will take a lot of effort to escape being discriminated against and that's without mentioning the people that are prepared to stand up for all these people, the likes of socialists, autonomists, anarchists, people that volunteer in NGO's or anyone that cherishes humanism/altruism. For people to fit in, in a land the locals like to call Hellas (and of the sun) to survive within it is to stay silent and live life in a comatose state.
