[Italiano] Ciao Silvia....On 10 April last 2013 in Lausanne, we said goodbye to Silvia Francolini, a comrade from the Federazione dei Comunisti Anarchici, at the the age of only 35, 2 of which had been spent during her last unwinnable battle. On Monday 15, no none thinks the country's kitchens will be open but on Monday 15 April we will be saying a final farewell to our comrade and friend at the town's cemetery at 4.00, to gather her into our earth and to sing "Bella Ciao" and "Figli dell'Officina" with for the last time. We'll meet up for a glass of red wine at the Centro di Documentazione Franco Salomone, just to to remember her, even though we'll never forget her, sharing a glass of red wine to her strength and her courage, and just like she always wanted, to freedom and revolution.
An activist since a very young age, as rigorous as she was non-dogmatic, Silvia founded the FdCA branch in Fano in 1995, where she had made a great contribution to the spread of anarchist communist ideas and for the construction of tools for struggle and resistance through libertarian praxis in the student struggles, feminist struggles, and those of the precarious, anti-fascists and anti-rascists. When she moveed from Fano to Lausanne with her comrade Ismael, she became a cooperator at the Centre Internationale de Recherches sur l'Anarchisme (CIRA) and a member of the Organisation Socialiste Libertaire (OSL), through which she had participated at the local and international no-global mobilizations such as those at Evian (2003) and Davos (2003); she has participated as the FdCA delegate at the first meeing of EuroAnarkismo which took place in Paris (at 2012) and in the international anarchist encounter at St-Imier in (August 2012).

Jump To Comment: 1 2About a hundred people: relatives, comrades, family friends and so on, took part yesterday afternoon at the funeral ceremony at Fano Cemetery. There was one extremely touching moment when all those present sang "Bella Ciao" as Silvia's ashes were accompanied into the tomb while the flag of the FdCA flew high.
There then followed at the Centro Salomone a ceremony suring which comrade Andreani for the FdCA recalled Silvia and her contribution to the life of the Federation and to the struggles both here in Fano and in Lausanne. ABout 50 comrades, male and female, warmly and emotionally embraced Silvia's companion, Ismael, to the notes of "Figlio dell'Officina", liberal drops of red wine and cheers to freedom and to the Revolution, just as Silvia would have wanted.
