In Athens today we had an invasion and an attempt of occupation of angry workers from Skaramagka Shipyards.

The employees, who claim the earned six months, made gathering outside the Ministry of Defence who are actually their employer, and then stormed into the room, after lifting the roller shutters.

They have come to the entrance of the General Staff where they canted: "Get fucked minister"...

At the time in the area there were few cops and soldiers to prevent them.

The Chief of Defence came and pretended to talk to employees, saving the time to come to the riot police. Then they riot police (MAT) attacked workers with batons and tear gas.

There are wounded and arrested. The riot police surrounded the employees and 120 workers arrested and transferred to the police headquarters where currently are.

Immediatelly outside gathered in solidarity other workers who at the time were actually marching in centre of Athens consisted of members of various unions.

There were new clashes with the police and some workers used bottles and batons against cops.
