After many years of adventures, sailing through the sometimes calm, sometimes rough seas of class-struggle, libertarian and revolutionary circles, "Collegamenti Wobbly" is now facing shipwreck. Our financial situation this year speaks clearly: a growing deficit that we will be unable to stand for much longer. The causes for this are many and indeed are shared by other revolutionary publications - the lack of a nation-wide distributor, the growing costs of printing and postage, and of course our wish to keep the cover price as low as possible.

But despite these growing economic difficulties, one thing does provide cause for comfort. The magazine, even though it has a small circulation, does enjoy the esteem of all its readers, both regular and occasional. More than one person has told us that it is irreplaceable and this can only cause us to rejoice and to increase our efforts to keep the magazine alive.

Unfortunately, looking at the situation realistically we find ourselves faced with a stark choice: either we find the means and resources to continue, keeping to our standard of quality and formal dignity that have characterized "Collegamenti Wobbly" up to now, or rather than face a long, slow decline with continual re-sizing and impoverishment (at least in the opinion of the writer), we make the painful, radical, but honest decision to close.

But we must make one last effort and so we appeal to our readers and supporters to take out a special subscription to the magazine, to enable us to get over this difficult moment, a material contribution in recognition of the past, present and (we hope) future role of "Collegamenti Wobbly".
