Batay Ouvriyé Union's position on the Haitian elections.

In the context of the occupation and the contradictions among elements of the ruling class, the reactionaries are doing their best to attempt to escape from the crisis by holding elections.

Our position is clear:
just as previous elections constituted a way for the ruling class to try to break out of the deep structural crisis it was going through, now again, the elections are attempting to re-establish a hegemony amongst the ruling classes.

In the previous and present elections, it is just a question of them settling their own business. Once more, the workers' independence must be clear, and that is what we are fighting for.
